I voted Game Cube. I don't know why I think it's better...probably 'cause I've always owned Nintendo consoles (seriously, I don't own any video game consoles that aren't Nintendo), and the Game Cube is under-appreciated. Besides, if you get one, you get the best game ever (in my opinion): The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (if you like wolves and Zelda, don't even hesitate to buy it! )!

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is also for Wii. I say it's better on the Wii because of the new way to control the game. Other than that it's really the same game... provided that you don't consider the world in the Wii version is mirrored from the Game Cube (meaning: what left on the GC is right in the Wii).

If you didn't know: The current generation is Nintendo's Wii, Sony's Playstation 3, and Microsoft's Xbox 360 Yah I figured when I went to Wal-Mart and saw the Wii advertisements that I was behind knowledge-wise. Is Wii compatable with older versions of Nintendo games? And also, I kinda noticed that over half of the Xbox games are rated T, which is fine for me but my sister will be playing with it with me, so I figure that I need to odd that one out. Lol, funny, I had a hunch that GameCube would get the first vote. I think it has the general genre of games that I want, but I can't be completely sure yet so I will stay open to new suggestions. Oh and I looked up the Zelda game, lol, I nearly had a fit, awesome!!!

I've known for a long time that it's also for the Wii, but pretty much my only problem about it is that the world, like you said, is mirrored. I've known all that for a while now.

Quote: Is Wii compatable with older versions of Nintendo games?
You bet! It's able to play all Game Cube games and able to download a selection of Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and Turbo Grafx games from the internet by the Virtual Console system.
It has the whole front of the Game Cube (four GC controller ports and two GC memory card slots) on the top of the system under flaps.
Also, Wii games with online playability will be released later this year, if you're interested.
Also, also, Wii and DS games that will be able to communicate with each other will be released later this year.
First Wii game with online play: Pokemon Battle Revolution
First Wii and DS games with Wii-to-DS communication: Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii), Pokemon Diamond and Pearl (DS).
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is said to come out April 22, 2007 in the US. Pokemon Battle Revolution, on the other hand doesn't have a date yet; I think it'll be around the time Diamond and Pearl come out.
Also, again, if you've play a Super Smash Bros. game, then you'll be happy to know that the third game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, will be coming out this year.

DO NOT BUY A LAST GEN CONSOLE!!!
Save your cash and buy a Wii, cuz then you can play gamecube games on it as well.

Well, they've got a lot of games on the gamecube, such as tomb raider legend and the sims 2 pets, so I'll just buy a gamecube and save my money that way until nintendo makes some decent enough games for the wii to warrant my intrest.

Looks like Wii is the way to go. I was watching a interview yesterday about it, is it hard to use? I mean, it seems like it would be realistic, but does it improve your game skill or decrease it? Wii supports GameCube though..... so wouldn't it be better to buy Wii and basically get a 2 in 1 deal?

Quote: Awesome!!! Looks like Wii is the way to go. I was watching a interview yesterday about it, is it hard to use? Not at all. Quote: I mean, it seems like it would be realistic, but does it improve your game skill or decrease it?
Doing gestures with the Wiimote feels more realistic than a button press on, say, a Game Cube controller but it's still not 1:1 with realism. It still improves the general feeling and feedback on the game.
Keep in mind that the current games out for the Wii are the first batch of games. There is plenty of time for developers to improve the use of Wii's features, thus better games latter on. I believe all systems started out this way.
I have these game and I suggest getting them if you desire them:
Wii Sports (Rated: E)
---1 to 4 Players (one controller set per player)
---Uses the Nunchuk (Wii Sports: Boxing)
---Note: I believe that all the Wii systems being sold in the US are still come with this game
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Rated: T)
---1 Player
---Uses the Nunchuk (Entire game)
---Note: Nothing much to note other than it's a great game. Though, keep in mind that this is a Game Cube port and that a true Zelda game for Wii is in development; never-the-less get it for Wii.
Wario Ware Smooth Moves (Rated: E 10+)
---1 Player & 1 to 12 Players (one controller needed [pass around play])
---Uses the Nunchuk (Only for Orbulon's set of mini-games [last set])
---Note: The mini-games, though very random, show off a ton of ways the Wiimote and nunchuk can be used. The munli player game get very exciting.
Trauma Center Second Opinion (Rated: T)
---1 Player
---Uses the Nunchuk (Entire Game)
---Note: Don't be put off by it's theme; it's more of a time pressured action puzzle game than a surgery game. Yeah, you see organs and blood but it won't make you puke because of the way the game handles; the organs are different shade of vivid of color with a plain texture and the blood is only red clouds that only appear on screen for no more 3 seconds, normally.
And a short list of games yet to come out:
Animal Crossing Fire Emblem Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Guitar Hero Mario Party 8 Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Pokemon Battle Revolution Sonic and the Secret Rings Super Smash Bors. Brawl Super Mario Galaxy Zelda: Ocarina of Time (VC [N64])

Yah, I don't think the Wii system is actually to bad, lol, compared to some things I have seen in other gaming systems xD
So what exactly is the Nunchuk though? Is it like a real one with wires that you swing around? Lol
