Do you think the dog on the leash is Balto's old design?

Does anyone know why they changed Balto's apperence from the husky look to the more wolf look?Was there a different storyline they made up about him being a husky or was it something else?

Also many people have suggested they've used the old Balto design for the dog that is interested in Jenna (pulling on leash when he sees Jenna and company then is never seen in the movie again).What is your opinion on this rumour?

Making him part wolf was more interesting and added much more content to the film.
About that rumor, well it may have been the design for another character that didn't (really) make it in the film. Nobody knows.

I think it was more of one of the dogs they were using when they were brainstorming to make Balto and since the design turned out well they decided to use it as a background charrie.

On my Balto DVD; in Bonus Features; there is a section that tells you the whole true story, with Steven & the crew talking about Balto! They say that making him half wolf would make the story more interesting and make Balto a more likeable character

About the dog that got tugged away from Jenna & her gang...that was just a random dog that likes Jenna & her gang XD :lol: But teh reason he looks like a wolf is beyond me... :shock: o.O XD

I kind of agree with Rebel. It was just a random character that they poped in there, I suppose. But I'm not sure really.
