Prologue
South American, Peru 7:00 P.M.
Somewhere in Lima of Peru, a young female anthro walked in the door of the Miraflores Colon Hotel. She walked over to the counter to check in her room. A slight breeze blowing in the hotel as she felt it on her burgundy red and white fur. Her auburn brown eyes looked to the hotel clerk.
“I would like to register for my room please. #257, Level 3", Jenna said as she pulled out her fake i.d. to the clerk. The card said her name was Maria Fredrico, but that was not her name. It was Jenna Quinn.
A male wolfdog anthro was standing in the hotel lobby. His yellow-brown wolf eyes covered by his dark black sunglasses that he wore. He stood there, leaning against the wall near the elevator of the hotel. As he scanned the lobby, his eyes were caught by a red and white husky at the check in counter. A smile crossed his maw as he watched her from a 5ft distance.
The hotel clerk looked at the card, and checked it over. As he put the I.D. (Identification) into the computer, it declined. The anthro stood there and looked to Jenna. “Ms. Fredrico, the card is fake. I am calling in the security officers.” He then picked up a phone and began to dial the number for the security office.
Jenna stood there practically speechless for the computers being so sophisticated these days. She stood there, “That is impossible.” She took a deep breath, knowing her agency, (US Assassination Organization) would not be happy with this. If the investigation went to far, they could find out who she really was, and that was not a good thing at all.
Balto looked at the hotel clerk said, “Ms. Fredrico, the card is fake. I am calling in the security officers.” He instantly knew this was his chance to get to know this, Ms. Fredrico. He walked over there, tail swishing from the insects. He walked up to the counter, “Excuse me, I am sorry she is with me.” Balto pulled out his fake i.d. which said his name was Ian Tyler, but his name was Balto Houston.
The hotel clerk looked up as he saw the speechless anthro. He could tell she knew it was fake, but right when he was about to call in security, a brownish-gray wolfdog walked up to him. The clerk grabbed the i.d. and put the number in the computer. It took his i.d. with no problem. He nodded, “Welcome to the Miraflores Colon Hotel.” He handed Balto back his i.d.
Jenna was astonished when she saw the wolfdog anthro just bail her out when he didn’t even know her. She took her fake i.d. and put it away. She smiled at Balto and walked away from the counter a bit. “Well, I can say thank you for the bail. My name is Jenna Quinn.” She stood there, her auburn brown eyes shining. Any anthro could get lost in her eyes.
Balto grabbed his card and then followed the female husky. He watched her put her card away, and then smile at him a bit. “Your welcome Jenna. I’m Balto Houston.” He kissed her hand like a gentlemen. “So what brings you to Lima, Peru? If I may ask.” He stood there, and stared into her auburn brown eyes.
Jenna smiled at Balto. He seemed kind enough in her eyes. “Nice to meet you Balto.” She said with again, a slight smile. She blushed a bit as he kissed her hand. “I am actually here taking care of some business. I am a travel agent.” She blinked her eyes, and felt the room finally cool down from the dreaded heat outside. The summer heat that all anthros hat the most.
Balto watched as she told him why she was here. It was natural and he had seen many travel agents there in just one week. He had already been there for almost two weeks. He relaxed a bit as well once the cooler came on. That felt good in his mind. He then walked a bit closer, “May I walk you to your room Ms?” He then waited for her reply. This could be the start of a bright future in his eyes.
Jenna did not move as he approached, she only gave a sly grin knowing what he would ask next. “Sure.” She smiled again, and knew as well, this was the start of something new. Jenna then slowly walked into the elevator. She made sure Balto had enough time to get in.
Balto was full of excitement as he got her answer. He walked into the elevator and pressed the button for level 3 of the hotel. He watched her the whole time, until he felt the elevator go to a sudden stop. He smirked, time flew by in his mind. He then walked out and kept the doors open for Jenna.
Jenna walked out, and flicked her tail as she did. She slowly walked over to her room, and opened the door with her card. She opened it and then turned to Balto. “I guess I will see you soon. Goodnight.” She then slowly closed the door, and went to doing what she had planned.
Balto watched the door closed. Oh gosh, was he a happy wolfdog. He smiled, “Yes, I will.” He walked down the hallways, hoping for this to be a beautiful relationship; Jenna and him.
