Have any of you ever noticed that on the shout box it's almost like people form Groups, and ignore anybody that's not in them? I have, and it's getting really annoying. If you don't know what I mean by "groups" well, I mean the people who like to ONLY talk to eachother, I don't want to name anybody so I'll do this:

User1: LIEK OMIGAWD THATS SO AWESOME! REMEMBER WHEN I SAID THIS!
User2: YA THAT WAS HILARIOUS! OMG! I LOVEYOOUUU!
User3: Hi everyone
User4: Hi people
User1: HI USER4! YOU ROCK! COME ON YOU GUYS LETS GO TO PM'S!
User2: OMG HI USER4! YOU RAWK! REMEMBER WHEN I DREW THAT PIC WITH US!

Notice how "User1" said hi first and got totally ignored? Well that's how I feel when I go to the shout box, then people will start talking about stuff and if I ask them what it is, they'll just ignore me. When I try asking them a question, they ignore me also. And it's getting really annoying.

So, my question is.. have any of you noticed this? Does it bug you? What do you think we can do to "fit in" more?

I am NOT whining, I have ignored it up until now, and I know there has to be other people who are annoyed by this.

I am also NOT blaming everybody. There are some people from those "groups" who try to talk to everybody, but it's like the others get jealous when there "friends" talk to other people. Kinda like 5 year olds..

Yes, but there's not always other people to talk to.. so I end up talking to myself or the annoying "n00bs" who make no sence to me what-so-ever

OH EM GEE!!!! o_0 I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Its like... real late at night.. I get on to chat.. and they TOTALLY JUST IGNORE ME BCAUSE I AM NOT PART OF THEIR LITTLE... GROUP!!! ><

I am sorry, but that is TOTALLY RUDE AND ANNOYING. When ever someone comes on, I generally talk to them. Its not like I have a 'group', although I DO have people I perfer to talk to on the ShoutBox and stuff, but that doesn't mean I only talk to THEM.

One night I totally got showed up by someone. They just totally got mad at me for being ME. I know I am not perfect. But those who know me, know I LOVE to kid around about being like.. So totally awesome and stuff. I KNOW I am not 'awesome' or 'perfect'.. but someone just got so mad at me, and then no one on the shoutbox would talk to me. -_- I was so mad. XD But in a good way. It was funny.

But I shrugged it off, and don't even really remember who it was. So all is good, but STILL. And its not like I was even being RUDE. They were like talking about fan works or something I think, and I was like "And mine are SO totally AWWWWWESOME! :icon302:".. You know? Just my playfully, stupid self. But no, one of the people TOTALLY got offended.

But I dont think there is really a way to STOP this. This is gonna be like school. (Althought that would suck. =]) People are going to ignore people who ARENT their people, and people are going to have their 'groups' and stuff. Its just how the human race works. XP

I know, I joke alot like that too, all the time. A while ago, somebody mentioned that "Nobody was perfect" and I said "except me" and they said "is that right" and..now they pretty much ignore me all the time. It's worse then school, since only young kids really do that now, but some of these people are 18-19 years old.. SPLEE SOMEBODY AGREES! YAY! XD

This is called "clans".And with a huge community,there is and always be clans.
This happens in real life too,life would be too easy if they weren't.

Ohh.. no I didn't really mean the "packs" or "clans," I ment just people, and they might not know there doing this..but they are.. and it's insulting..

Well, Deni does have a point. She isn't meaning like a wolf pack or clan. She is meaning like in school: Preps, Jocks, Geeks, Goths, ect. We all have our labled groups. And its gonna happen. Although I hate it. >< XD

Eh..well it's kind of the same but not every single one of the people in the "group" is a prep or a jock.. and even so, they could still talk to other members, right? It's not like there in school and have a reputation to protect, or like there's a law on it or anything..They just choose to be that way.. and I have a problem with it. XD

Indeed, your right. But I was just using that as an example. People in school choose to be that way too, may I mind you. Its not like someone WROTE a law telling us what to do. People just follow in other peoples foot steps, trying to be better than them, but only 'causing themselves to become worse. Its sad, but true.

And we all have problems, they just vary. ;D XDD!!..

Yeah, this type of thing is gonna happen. I mean, I dislike people, and I tend to avoid them, but its not like I tell them to their face "GOD I HATE YOU!", or plan out ignore them. If they talk to me, I am gonna talk back to be polite.

But yeah.. I try to say hi to everybody on the forums and if somebody talks to me I wont ignore them, even if it is one of the annoying spammers..

I can see if people just missed my message or something, but it's hard to believe when they ignore me quite a bit..

It hasn't really happened to me at all, so I can't really say anything from experience. I have seen it happen though...most people just scream when they're ignored and say something like "OMG NO 1 LYKS ME IM LEAVING!!!1!!!1!@#$%^" They just makes them get ignored more...I'm not saying that's your case. I know that there are groups (heck, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't belong to any), but that's life, like it or not. There's discrimination in real life too; people are separated into groups based on personality (ie: preps, goths, skaters, trouble makers...). It can't really be prevented.

I admit that I am one of those people that are in 'groups'. >_> But I really try not to. There are times where I'm carrying on a conversation with 7 people at once. o.0 Ask Shimmer. xD But at times I only pop on every minute or so when talking to someone so I don't see someone new come on and say "hi" and stuff. Which always makes me feel horrible...

But it's pretty much just like high school. Everyone seems to have their own "clique".

But, the thing is, were not in high school. Many people come to the shout box to -- or so they say -- get a break from "life." And I don't think this really helps.



No, I don't do that, I know how annoying it can be/is. I usually just leave. The "n00bs" seem to be the only people who try having conversations with everybody.. [Including a few of the "group" members]

Well, it's only human...I don't think there's much I could do to prevent this. If someone doesn't want to talk with someone, no one can force him.
