What kinds of fanfics do you wish to see more of?

Crossovers?

What-if's (I guess it's like an AU...where you take a part of one of the movies and change it ever-so-slightly to get an entirely different outcome. IE: if Steele and Jenna ended up together, etc.)?

Contradicting (IE odd pairings [that still abide by the rules of the site] like Dusty and Steele or Kirby and Aleu, etc.)?

Tragedies (but not necessarily a dark fanfic) ?

Supernatural?

AU (Alternate Universe, which would be like re-writing an entire plot)?

Humor?

Songfics (where you write out scenes along with the lyrics of a song)?

Or is there something more specific you want to read that's not what I listed above? Opinions? (I apologize if there's a topic already like this, guys) Tell me, and say why! I'd like to know for future references ;D

Never heard of one sadly... thoughI have thought of the idea previously, and it'd be neat to see more. As I stated - I haven't seen a single one, though I don't read many fictions.

I haven't heard of a songfic as you define it, either, Cat, but...
What I've done sometimes is listen to a whole stream of different songs. As I listen, my mind makes up scenes to go along with the lyrics. The ones I think might go somewhere get initial scenes written around them, and then, if I really believe in the scene, I'll write a fic around it.
That's how my first story, When You Come Back to Me Again, came to be. It's based around a semi-old song by Garth Brooks.

Since then, I've tried to incorporate songs into all of my fanfics. (FYI: Balto: Independence Day stemmed directly from Martina McBride's song.)

Um...And the point of all of this is that I would also like to see more songfics, as Cat calls them. (I like that name! )

Okay, so most people seem to like tragedies and contradicting fics. Anyone else? C'mon I know there's more opinions out there. But none of you are telling me WHY you want to see more of a certain kind of fic XD

You are a specialist in it cat. You always surprise us As for what kind of fan fictions, hmm...songfics I think these ones are not so common here, and songs can give good inspiration. Why do songs need to give inspiration only for a drawing when you can make up a whole story from it?

Tragedy somewhat sticks out to me in a way. I've just always been drawn to how someone overcomes bad situations.

I've never really seen a humour one around so I'd say humour.

Song fics, definatly. I love songs, but If I try to write a songfic it's never really good....
