I made this topic to discuss The Sims stuff, so I could ask a question: what the heck is The Sims, how do you play it, and what happens in the game? I just made this topic to discuss the game, so mods, please don't lock the topic after somebody answers my question

Sims = Simulations
It's a series of games were you make a person, and live a simulated life. You can do almost anything on the games.

Thanks, because I've been thinking about getting the Sims 2 Pets for my Gamecube.

theres all kinds of sims games.you make your very own person.you can make a personality for it and you could name it anything you want and it could be a boy or a girl and you could make as many people as you want up to 6 people and you could change its clothes and then you have to build a house and buy stuffand when you got everything you want or if you don't have enough money for something you want you get a job and your aloud to do what you want with your sims but if your playing the sims 2 pets which is my favorite sims game and i'm lucky to own because i love animals so much you could only pick a cat or a dog but if you want a hamster you have to go to the pet supplies and if you buy the hamster cage and the hamster cage comes with the hamster but if you want to get stuff at the town square you have to get pet points.to get pet points,you have to spend time with your pets and if you don't know how to get to the town square all you have to do is click on the arrow on the side walk and a menu says go to town square you click on the town spuare and then your off.

Heh, thanks, I just got the sims 2 pets for my Cube, I'm totally new to the sims stuff, so thanks a lot.

I find some of the sims games complicated. Especially keeping every thing up (like sleep, food, entertainment, ect) Most of the games are very fun, but some go a little TOO far in the romance department. I've never done that in a game, but I've heard some peeps have.
