This idea comes from a topic in the Rant board, suggested by Highland wolf.
More and more people only send non-Balto drawings in their galleries. (wolves, dogs from other films or anime, or only their own characters...)

This gives the feeling everyone forget why they're on the site.
The majority of the drawings people send should be Balto characters, while it's clearly not the case.

So, to give a little push, I had thought of adding a rule like this one :



The main downside of this, to me, is that it make the rules even more complex. Both for the mods and the visitors, and this would (of course) apply only for the galleries for which there are new drawings to upload. (inactive galleries will stay the same)

Also, some people may not want to send Balto drawings at all - even though the more I think about it, the more it seems abnormal to me.

What is your opinion?

I say yes.
It's the same way I did with Fan Videos,I don't accept them,if they DON'T include a one min or less length from Balto.Because yes,as you say,this is a Balto site,and not an Official Dog or Wolf Tribute /site.

And one picture including the Fan Arts galleries wouldn't hurt.I'm happy that I kept my 4 crappy Balto pics -Off Topic

So Yeah,I voted for yes.Because I'm kinda sick seeing everywhere GDW,GNG,Wolf's Rain whatever...which turns this Balto fan site into an Anime.

And there are lots of other sites which can allow these Non-Balto Fan arts.As eg deviantArt,SheezyArt,etc...There are alots,or the Fan sites dedicated to this mather.

Good point. If this is a Balto site, you should have to have some Balto artwork in your gallery, even though it doesn't have to be all Balto related artwork.

You have my vote for certain. Like it was said: this is a Balto Fansite and should be relatively kept that way.

Not to be rude or anything but why should we have just one balto character in our fanart

Of course, since I was the one who suggested it, agree When I look through the Balto Source gallerys, I want to see peoples Balto art. This is a Balto fansite, so people should send up their Balto art. I love to see pictures of wolves and others characters, but not whole gallerys of it. One of the reasons I prefer Pamples older art, is because its Balto art. I have not seen a Balto picture in her gallery in a long time, only her own characters. I want to see more of Balto!

I know how you feel, I'm sick of it too. I don't like these shows to be honest, and I'm not saying this because I don't like them, its beacause this is a fan site for Balto, and nothing else.

Of course you could draw more than one...But AT LEAST one.

I was thinking that, well it would be difficult (especially for the mods who would have to go through every gallery), but maybe I could make a filter to separate Balto drawings from non-Balto ones. Yes, I definitely think it could be a good thing.

I like the separate balto gallery thing. but I dont like the idea that we have to put 1 balto related art thing. I think that we should put as many as we want as long it is not inappropriate.

I will precise "1 or MORE" pictures, because people seems to think that they should be restricted to 1...(which is the opposite of what we want)

I am not to sure on this idea, so I would say maybe.

I am not the best artist, and have trouble pulling my own ideas with using Balto. Although not long ago, I finally did a reffed pic of Balto. (Which is my second one. Ever.) I was feeling that as a member of BaltoSource, I should actually contribute some actuall BALTO fan art. So it being Christmas, I took a screenshot from Balto Three, and used that as a ref. It worked nicely, I supose, although it was very quick, and when I was newer to using Photoshop.

But I would SUPOSE that this would be a good idea, sense this IS the BALTOSource. And thus would increase the Balto fandom..? Mm, my thoughts are off tonight.

I actually have been thinking this too... even though I'm one of the ones doing that! I've been drawing my own character and requests/trades mostly, but I have a few in-progress Balto pics I'm doing.

I think it should be a rule... go with it!

But hwat I think would be better is if: FOr each month, an artist has to do a Balto-character pic. But if they don't update their gallery that month, then they can skip it. Like this:

October: No updates, you don't have to do a Balto pic.
Nov.: An update: Must do a Balto pic before the endo f that month, or 2 the enxt month.

Though I do think every month can be overwhelming... so maybe every 3 months they have to do a Balto-char picture?

That's what I think. Only having to do one image, or a handfull, we could still get weird pics in here... someone could scribble, say it's a Balto char, and then send nicer stuff of their own.
