I agree as well. That place is a junkyard of everything anyone could throw together and post a jpg of.

I honestly don't see a problem with people sharing their work on the forum that is non-Balto related. I haven't seen anything outside of canines on the forum myself, but for those canine peices posted, isn't that common interest on a site dedicated to a movie about dogs/wolves? Normally people share common interests with each other, be it on a fan forum or in real life...it's human nature.

He means this is a Balto Related to site, if you want to post POTC artwork go to a POTC fourm.

Even though you weren't derecting that at me, no, it's not junk. I personally hate Pirates of the Caribbean (No offence intended to anyone who likes it) and would much rather see Balto or Lion King videos, and a majority of them have nothing to do with that..

Precisely. No, I was not insinuating that things that people have worked hard on that don't have to do with Balto are junk. The "junkyard" reference meant that it is a vast amalgum of unrelated things. In truth, POTC stuff, Star Wars stuff, Harry Potter stuff, etc. all have their place, however, it is not at this place.

I didn't say it was, I was asking if that was the intent of HrryNrmn's comment. But yes, I agree that PotC and other art outside the canine world could be a bit more scarce on the site in general, if not nonexistant.

Hmm, I agree and dissagree, though mostly I DO agree. If someone wants to show others their non balto vids or whatnot, they should send a link to that/those people. Then again, this is a forum, and the 'Other' section was made just for those topics am I right? I don't think the non-balto creations (vids for example) should be posted in the video section of the forums, but perhaps under 'other' instead. Basically if it's non-balto, it should go, for one, in the forums, and two under 'other'. Hopefully that made sense. XD

p.s- what is it about my pseudo that makes everyone think I'm a dude? must be the 'o'....just to clarify, I'm a girl. Sorry XP

Well, let's explain :

Currently it works like this. (and has always worked like this since the creation of the site)

- All the content sent on the site is Balto-related (even if wolves or dogs are allowed in the fanart section)

- The content sent on the fan sections on the forums can be non-Balto related. The main reason I added these sections on the forums actually WAS to be able to send non-Balto creations. Otherwise, can you tell me any good reason why these people couldn't send their creations directly on the site?

Now, I can very well change the rules and make it so that only Balto related content can be sent both on the site AND the forums.
But the main issue is that there will always be people wanting to post their non-Balto drawings somewhere, to show them to the members here. Where will they put them? In the other section? It will be crowded in no time...

I believe a solution would be to make sub-sections. For example, there would be a single Fan art section on the forums main page, but this fan art section would contain a sub-section for non-Balto related art.
Unfortunately this is not possible with this forum version yet, but the next version of PHPBB, which should come out soon, will allow this.

I'm trying to keep it as clean as possible.
Rules say that on the SITE we're allowed ONLY and ONLY Balto related Fan Videos.
And I asked steet about this allready when I saw POTC,GDW things...

Oh crud...and on the Fan More they're allowed with Non Balto stuff...

Because it's fan creation,yeah sure,at first stop from me I always wanted to move them to the Others section.

But these are the forums..and things are pretty different than the site's.
