I know, another useless rant right? Well, I just want to get off my chest that some people on the site bother me (no names will be mentioned).
For example; I mentioned how most emos are mimic Goths and someone who posted she was emo a LOT said I was trying to make fun of her, claiming I was inferring to things I didn't intend. Yes, that was my mistake to word it like that, BUT, she didn't have to jump my case, right? I don't know, I'm confuzzled about that.
Another thing is On-line Wars; what's the deal with THAT? As I can recall, I lost my head ONCE over a war (wasn't here, but the link was given to me in the rpsb [role play shout box]), and they claimed they hated me and ganged up on me. Soon, they were saying I was picking on the source person of the war, when I was telling her she was in the wrong. BUT, I was too. I admit that... No shame.

Yea, if you could tell me what you think about people like this and a better way to deal with them, it would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing that really bothers me is, what you said, people screaming for attention because they're emo.

"OMG GUYZ GUESS WUT?!?! I CUT MUHSELF!!11!!!!1ONE!!!ELEVEN!!"

Nothing is more annoying. These people just want attention and they want people to say "No, please don't cut yourself, we love you!"

Online wars are almost just as annoying. People fight over the silliest things. I once saw a pretty violent argument that arose because someone didn't return an art comment. That was ridiculous. It's those kinds of little things that cause the biggest arguments. People just can't realize that some things aren't worth arguing over. EVERYTHING turns into a fight it seems.

You know another thing that bothers me? ...Your avatar.

The topic of emo-ness...well, as little (or, too much) as I know on the subject, it can be very easy to spark people off. I don't think banning the subject would be a popular idea either. All I can offer is to just watch what you sa, and be mindnful of the people who are on. If you think something's going to offend, don't say it...Because it only takes ONE other person, and if it gets too out of hand, then SOMEONE's gonna be have to continue their emoness on the banned box. I can tell; people who just NEED a lil' love (XD), or people who just WANT to have attention. Attention-seekers, I don't really mind much. Sure, they can be a little on the ¬¬ side, so I much rather leave others to give them their special attention. You will always have those kinda of people, no matter how many times you rant and rave.

Online wars...wow. As a mod, I suppose it'd be safe to say we don't really see much of those anymore, save for the occasional disputes that sometimes require a little intervention, but have no need for a ban. I define a war as two or more people cursing, insulting, flaming, and spamming at one another with no hint of joking-ness (is that a word?). Maybe if they say something like, "You couldn't tell a cow from your mom. ", then maybe I'd probably tell them kindaly to loosten up a little. But if it's something like, "Psh, yeah right. You couldn't tell a cow from yur mom!! " Constant messages with that sort of impact is subject to time on the banned box in my book.

A little wthing on online wars: DON'T TAKE SIDES!!! Yes...In the past, I've had to ban bystanders of a flame war because they got themselves involved.

In ANY CASE...whether you are a part of the war or not, here's the solution: LOG OFF.

Almost universally, people are dumb, and are willing to fight you if you push their buttons. So yeah, the only thing you can do is ignore them and walk away. It's not much fun to have a screaming match by yourself. Also, I think you might want to lose the explicit avatar. Doesn't bother me much, but it takes an awful, awful lot to bother me. However, we do have young-uns around here, and that might not be the best choice of avatar.

You need to change your avatar, this is supposed to be a kid friendly site.

Yes, I've been involved in a couple of wars. One was resolved, the other partly. It's mostly down to people being too stubborn to admit they're wrong.

Though immaturity, in my books, rocks, because being mature is the dullest thing possible. I agree that it is so annoying with the emos, but I think there are enough topics about them also, you seem to have three posts....your acting like you ahve been here forever and you need to get it out in the open before it kills you....three posts...and you already have a complaint....umm...maybe this forum is not for you, and I also find your avatar rather offensive, and slighty emo like.

In a way, I'm new. I've been on Balto Source since May of least year, and well, know my way around. It's the forums I'm never on.
Personally, I don't see why I put this all here. Yes, I'm Gothic with a tid of Emo. But I don't go around saying "I'm Emo and I cut myself! Hawhaw, I pwn you all because I'm Emo!" or such things like that.
I am much more to the Gothic side, and prefer to leave emo outta it. If you ask me, everyone has emo in them, some just don't throw it out as much.

And yes, I was aiming to change the avatar. Frankly; I don't know why I'd chosen that one. *shrug* Oh well, going to change it anywho.

But back onto the topic; I usually can give a crap less about what people think about me. I too, am very hard to worm close too. BUT... I tend to come on harshly or... Well, sometimes rude without meaning such. But I have never fully taken part in an on-line war and never plan to. I have seen the effects of such and don't want to end up in such places.

Thank you all for your help, I now know how to better prepare myself for people who only want trouble.

I have to agree but, remember that alot of the members here on BS are yougner than you. They don't have the same maturity or self control which is frankly quite a shame. I feel that 4-5 year olds these days are much more violent prone then when I was a kid. I mean these little rasclas throw their toys at you and have fits much more than I remember having...Anyway, I agree with what you said, it is quite the bother...

I agree. When I was little, I was terrified of anyone older than me. Even by a year. These days, you get little kids that are ready to smack you in the face if you insult them. I must say, I've never heard six-year-olds swear as much as they do now.

I'm going thorugh these daily..a job as Mod involves lots of wars, from immature users who can't listen to their advice or warnings.
I've been added to manys, but I am escaping somehow >_>,I'm trying to avoid, but this would show a scarrycat inside me....

Don't listen to them...if you see something irregular.. "In case of any problem, contact a mod by clicking here!" Little button is always available ;)

Yes, I agree with all of you. Younger children are MUCH more belligerant than what they should be, which solidizes my hatred for young children. Let alone, my nine and seven year-old brothers threaten me physical harm (then is which when I grab the back of their necks and squeeze, immoblizing them).
What I don't understand; is why they don't at least have respect. The only way I gain respect from my brothers is showing them that it may take a lot to get me going, but I will be violent when I must...
What I hate is now you walk into Wal*Mart and say "excuse me/us" when you accidentally walk in front of someone else and their jaw drops to the floor in shock from 'common' courtesy. That's happened to me before, and I've almost made people faint by calling them in a respectful manner (Sir, Ma'am, and so on).

*Shakes head* The 2000's have made the world unwhole and broken to bits, and I only want it all to get better. But, I'm only one person upon millions. If not... Billions. What can I do that will effect the world? Nothing.

"Thus if you try to banish evil, t'will only become stronger and hit you harder."

Pshaw. Immatrity is merely the absence of intelligence; ignorance is the presence of stupidity.

...not helping, is it?

Actually Suka, it did. That was close to the best statement I have heard upon this topic. XD
