If you would like to see how it looks, check this page :

http://z7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffiv ... topic=1253

I've seen one episod, and I have a few comments.

I was (positively) surprised by a few things :

- The theme song is actually very good, and looks like it has been taken from Lion King...
- The animation is more or less the same as the sequels, which is VERY surprising and a good thing, considering usually, TV series are way worse than even the direct-to-video sequels...
- Seeing the "Amblin entertainment" logo at the end feels...strange...Didn't even know it still existed somewhat?

On the negative side, it seems to be still pretty kiddy, but well, not really more than the sequels...

Now, I wonder what they could do if they were going to make a Balto TV series? Ok, I know it will probably never happen, but...now I know I would really want one if it was done with the same "quality" or budget.

That's great. I wish companies would start making more animated TV series, instead of these unexciting live ones

Err, well this isn't supposed to be "legal" to see it that way...So I don't think posting it on Youtube is a good idea.
I suppose they will air on more TVs later. Including foreign TVs...

Well, I must say they're doing a decent job not butchering the characters  The new character Ruby seems likable, but since the first episode isn't downloadable, I'm just wondering why she and Chomper are there in the Great Valley because I thought "Sharp Teeth" weren't allowed there O_o

I find it a little strange that a T-Rex is teamed up with a pair of...whatever those were, and if kids are as knowledgeable on dinosaurs as I was when I was a kid, they'd probably question it too

The only thing I REALLY didn't like about it was that...well...Littlefoot sounds younger than he did in the first movie and that kinda bugs me. I have a feeling that this series is gonna be worn out fast like All Dogs Go To Heaven the series, but ADGTH had a "heaven on earth" bullcrap theme to it.

The songs...still aren't their strong point, but whatever they wanna do, I suppose (ADGTH's TV series songs weren't too good, but I think these songs were alright at best) Overall, I think that if they don't keep a "new" kind of theme to this series, kids will lose interest. If they keep adding new things, then it has potential.

As for Balto becoming a TV series...the only way it could work, now that I've thought about it, is if they made it like Hercules or Little Mermaid or Jungle Cubs and make all the characters younger. Cuz kids like young cutesy wutesy rowdy characters they can relate to and not older characters like Balto in the third movie.

If they made Balto a series, well, to be honest, people will probably get sick of it too, but if they made it a series, it should be in a "younger" theme like Jungle cubs, where Jenna, Balto, Steele, Nikki, Kaltag, Star, Doc, etc. are all younger.

How could this work? Well, like EVERYONE wants to know about Balto before Balto 1; everyone's favorite characters would be there and filled with furry adorableness; wouldn't need to find the same voice actors used in the movies cuz all of the shows (except maybe Rosie and Boris, who would also make appearances) and could use a whole new (younger) cast (if they're younger, high pay wouldn't be necessary).

But say they wanted to keep the old Balto? They could go back to when Kodi and Aleu were pups and have their siblings in there too, with names and everything. That could also work because everyone wants to know more about Balto's offspring. Or it could be like that under-appreciated TV show called Jakers, where it would flip flop from present times to past times, from "new" characters to "old" characters. It may be a tad confusing, but hey, it worked for other children's shows.

You know my opinion on songs on these kinds of TV series (i really don't believe they should make a TV series out of ANY movie, for that matter) but really...a Balto series would work, but ONLY IF they used new material and plots and ideas. And action. Lots of action. Kids like good-ol-fashioned A.D.D. T.V.

Sorry for the double post, but I find it extremely hilarious that no one seems to care about this series being released XD I wonder why?

I only watch the first one. It makes me sad that the girl who originally voiced Ducky was murdered by her father when she was only 10 years old. It kind of put me off LBT

I watched the LBT series when I was little. I always loved dinosaurs, and I still do. I think I have all the movies. (I got them for the heck of it, cause I liked them.) I'm kinda glad they are coming out with a show. :thumleft:

Maybe that's because it isn't released in the US yet...(it's aired on YTV, which is a canadian channel I believe) Be sure it will be entirely different when it will be on Cartoon Network.

Yeah... can't speak proper English!

Anyway, if they did make Balto a TV series... I'd be ready to sayy that they'd be as bad as the sequels - just random stuff made up for money.
