I don't believe in either one. It's all a hoax!
Wanna know why?
The message claims that CNN has entitled the viruses as the worst... yet they have
nothing on
CNN.com. The same goes with
Microsoft
Take a look and read this website:
www.hoax-slayer.com
They state that the Invitation, AKA: Olympic Torch, virus and the Bin-Laden virus are older viruses that someone decided to warn people about them again.
The believe that the site states that the Olympic Torch virus was a "Virtual Card for You" released in 2000
* and that the Bin-Laden virus
was indeed a virus with a threat of catching but wasn't so dangerous that it would bring a computer to it's death like it was claimed too.
Quote:
The trojan that came with the Bin Laden emails was certainly malicious, but it was unlikely to damage the infected computer to such an extent that it could not be repaired.
The Bin-Laden virus made an appearance starting in 2004.

Most people think this is a chain letter. I do not believe in them,It's not, I saw it on CNN news. Please read this e-mail that I got from 7 different people. EVEN my school!! My friend was stupid enough to open it; her hard drive was affected, went splat.
If thats true, then She probably just caught the old Bin-Laden virus. Like I quoted before it doesn't do as much damage as it's claimed to do, so there isn't as much to worry about... but it's still a virus and should be removed ASAP.
Best of luck to you and your friend.
