Balto looked at the sky that night unable to sleep. He could smell humans nearby. Aniu could smell a hunter nearby. "Stay Balto...I must find the hunter and keep him away from you." she said. Aniu went to the area she could smell the human near....BOOM! A gun's boom shot from the nearby area. Balto ran to see what had happened laying dead covered in blood was Aniu's body. Balto was frozen with fear as the man picked Aniu up and took her body away. Balto ran when the man was out of sight. Balto hadn't known his mother for so long sadly. Balto knew he had to find his father. He rembered his motherr had been talking with a Russian snow goose...Boris. He would meet Boris dawn the next day.

This looks really good! I like teasers but they always leave you hanging. Can't wait till you post!
