I wouldn't know if there was already a topic like this, but since most users on Balto Source like wolves or dogs, I think there already might be one.
I only read classics
Call of the Wild- This book is well detailed, well written, and tells the story of huskies in Alaska at the time. Buck, a dog who has been living with his owners for a while and has never lived the life of a huskie in Alaska, is taken away when the gardener loses a bet. Eventually he leaves and becomes a part of a wolf pack, killing Natives (they killed his owner).
White Fang- Like in Call of the Wild, an animal changes from his domesticated state into a wild dog. Except it's the other way around. A wolf becomes domesticated and fights other dogs as a sport.
My memory is a little hazy because I read these books a while ago. I'm pretty sure my discriptions are right, but I left out a lot of detail so you have to read the books. I recommend them to anyone who knows how to read. They are fantastic.
I also liked
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.
Verne has also written many great books, such as "The Mysterious Island" and "Around the World in Eighty Days".
I advise you to read them. Harry Potter and all that crap is nothing compared to this. Also, you should read a biography on Jack London. He had a very interesting life. Did you know his real name was John Cheney? His stepfather's last name was London, and I think he picked up the name Jack from nicknames he had gotten.
