Signature size

Well hopefully this doesn't get locked since I hope it makes a good point. I was thinking.......alot of people have way too big signatures ((I've made this mistake a couple times)) and there isn't enough mods to warn everyone who has a huge signature. SO.....I thought the best resolution would be to have the site be able to say your signature is too long when you try to update your forum profile. I believe mods will be happy to get this little problem off their shoulders since I've noticed huge signatures everywhere.It would help me too because I STILL have this problem.

So please consider this idea.

I'm well aware of the signature size,and I constantly change them.

True, but I'm sure its possible and afterall steet said he is planning to add new improvements to the site this year. Its totally up to him I think. He is the overlord of the site afterall. :lol:

Did I double post? I'm not sure I did because those two posts I made say two very different things but they still look weird so yes I'll remeber togo. Oh and ya I kinda figured after what Dingo said that it may impossible afterall. :wink:

But its still a good idea to eventually "try" to do it. Who knows? It could actually work. :lol:

Actually, it has limited my signature size once or twice, but I believe it goes by KB's, and some big pictures have 10 while other, smaller ones have 40.

I don't know if it would be possible at all, since most people use pictures they've uploaded somewhere else on the web (which makes very difficult to know the precise dimensions)
Besides, I can't modify much of the PhPBB code.
But maybe the next version has something like this built in.
