This may seem a bit weird coming from a person like me, but swing is certainly becoming quite popular around me. Oh God I think I'm going mental. XD But Ray has really tried to put swing back in the charts and I think that's quite a bold thing to do. He's releasing a swing album in March as he got a record contract by Simon Cowell (thank God). I'm mostly buying it coz it's Ray but this music is starting to grow on me.

(And NO he's not gay. He's got a girlfriend. grrrrrrrr. XD)

Swing is some good stuff, I really like most swing. Since it really is so well connected to jazz (in my opinion is jazz) I do like it a lot. A lot of classic tunes were swing, a good amount of jazz standards are swing. I don't think it's gonna make a huge comeback or anything, but it would be nice to see some rekindling going on.

I am kinda curious now though. do you know what he's doing exactly. Like, is he gonna use some classic standards, or his he gonna go with origonal compositions? If you could get a possible song list that would be fantastic

Well I know the list he sang on the show, a lot of them are Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Show 1 - Ben
Show 2 -What a Wonderful World
Show 3 - Ain’t that a kick in the head
Show 4 - Waterloo
Show 5 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Show 7 - The Way You Look Tonight and Jail House Rock
Show 8 - Mandy and My Way
Show 9 - Smile and You’ll Never Walk Alone
The Grand Final - My Way, Fly Me To The Moon and A Moment Like This

Sweet, a lot of classics, and he's got a What a Wonderful World! That makes it for me. You can't go wrong with the father of jazz, good old Louis Armstrong. Then of course you can't go wrong with a legend like Frank Sinatra.

In two weeks he's flying to LA to record his debut album, the same studio Frank Sinatra used. Thank God Simon Cowell saw sense and signed him a record deal.
