Ok, If you haven't heard they are coming out with a little mermaid 3 and cinderella 3. Hears my question. Do we really need them? I didn't think that cinderella 2 was all that good and what would they do for the 3 movie anyways. The second movie for the little mermaid was good, it wasen't really my favorite but it was good. If they had a 3 movie for this what would it be about? Melody havind a child and all this other stuff happens. So what do you think, do you really want to have another movie for these two?

Well, if you'd like MY take on it, go ahead and read my post on the Balto 1 threads. It's called something like, "Sequels: The Degredation Continues" or something. No, I most certainly do not think we need more sequels, whether Melody (What? Who the heck is that? Oh yeah, Ariel's kid or some such nonsence) has children or learns to square dance or wins the cover-all at bingo on Friday. Sorry, that's more information than we ever needed about The Little Mermaid. Wasn't one enough?[/list]

Well, to answer your question:
Do those films need a second sequel? No, they don't, but unfortunately we have no choice on the matter. The writers in the studio companies make that decision, whether it's truly necessary or not.
However, in my own opinion, I like the fact that some over-looked animated films are being remembered by writers, and this rememberance of them is causing them to be brought back in sequel form. I suppose the writers thought that if they made a sequel to a old (or very recent) film, it would get people to buy the sequels and the original film too.
I do not agree on some of the sequel storylines (especially the predictable ones) and the fact that most sequels are actually midquels in disguise, but some of the things the writers do aren't so bad . . .
Like with Balto, if it wasn't for WQ, Balto would still be childless. XD
I can't really think of anything else, but I think you guys get it.

For cinderella 3 it does look like a good movie to see. I know I thought that it wasen't really a good idea when I 1st heard about it, but now since I saw the preview for it, it actually looks good. Like a lot of people said it's a big what if thing. I still think that TLM 3 is just something to put out and get money for it.

Midquels suck. Period. They're boring, they don't introduce anything new, they just suck.

Ah, so many sequals, so little time eh? Alright, time for whitey to put her two cents on the table. Well, the second Little Mermaid was actually pretty good, I enjoyed it, the second Cinderella, they could've done better. I just hope they don't start this like the Land Before Time when it's an endless amount of sequals, 7, 8,9, 10. I'm sick of so many sequals for good movies I say,"Which number are we on now? 4? 6?" The thrid Cinderella doesn't look as good as you would think it could be, I haven't heard anything on a third Little Mermaid though.
