Ok so here is the short version, around where I live two guys 17 and 19 ducktaped a puppy up and put it in an oven to kill it. These men may get 85 years if fully convicted but they are lucky because they get a retrial because some lady wanted to be an A$$.

Also I'd like to say that these people need to go to jail because animal abuse begets harm on people so I'm glad they are pushing for maximum jail time.

I understand, and fully sympathize with you for feeling horribly sickened by what these genetic defects did to that poor little puppy, but I don't understand why you, or anyone else, would feel a need to post such horrible stuff on this site. I just don't. Especially at this time of year, when so many people of different religions, nationalities and so on are trying to focus on peace, love and faith.

It just boggles my mind that some people want to sensationalize these horrid events, and drive members of the site to such anger, shock, disgust and nausea, in an effort to entertain a grassroots revenge mentality.

By drawing me into this, and by my reading the article (out of curiosity), you've definitely sent my mood right down a long, deep hole. And now it hurts. I was enjoying the solemnity and peace of this holiday season, and good cheer with friends, and this KILLED it.

I wish you people would learn a little discipline, and not post this stuff.

I'm sorry but you do not understand. No press was on this and it seemed like no one cared. Do you know anything about school shootings? Well here is a hit they have warning signs and one of them is crulty to animals.

I really dont want people to focus too much on this just sign the petition and keep an ear out for updates.

Well, I'll offer one last response, and then withdraw to allow people to post about the petition. Because I do understand...perfectly.

It appears to me that there is press coverage about it. And I'm sure the local news media, where this happened, covered it at length. These kinds of cases do get heavy coverage nationally anyway. Perhaps you simply didn't catch it on TV or in the newspapers.

Do I care about school shootings? What kind of a question is that? Are you trying to infer that I'm insensitive? Of course I care about those things. But what does that have to do with the Balto cartoons, or the Balto fan community? And what does it have to do with THIS case?

Either way, I still think that bringing this kind of stuff onto Balto Source is a bad thing. And again, especially at this time of year.

I'm sorry but the trial is going to be done in a few weeks so it's come down to crunch time.

I never asked if you cared about school shooting I asked if you KNEW big difference. Anyway they are related because Animal crulty is one of the frist signs that this person needs help.

White Wolf I for one, am glad you posted this. I immediately signed the petition. There are many animal lovers on this site and it's our job to help animals in any way we can! I didn't sign it for "revenge" I signed it for justice. Thank you

You all will be happy to know that the two boys plead guilty to 9 felony counts. They each could get some 90 years in jail. Remember that animal cruelty is a warning sign of a serial killer

Those two really need to get a life. That whole thing was just totally unnessesary.. Atleast they admitted to being guilty, but not much could be done for there sake if they didn't, anyway..

It's horrible, but it happens all the time. Not too long ago some kids were arrested in my home town for burying a puppy up to its neck in sand down at the beach and leaving it to die. There are also periodic stories in the paper about ritual sacrifice of various types of animals in the public campgrounds near my town. Whether its Satanists or whoever, it still happens. Not to mention the amount of mistreated and abused animals that are found in town. People are disgusting, by and large. Sometimes, I just don't know what is wrong with people in our society.
