I searched "Grammar" on the forums and I found a similar topic. But it's not exactly the same, so please don't lock this!

Don't you hate it when people use language like "u" instead of "you"?
It makes you look bad, like you don't know proper grammar. It also lowers other people's respect towards you.

Another thing that bugs me is when people post one word to one sentence replies like "cool." or "I totly agree wit u dude."

IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING. It's simple enough just to read the topic and go on if someone already posted the exact same thing you wanted to. You're not getting paid for posting random useless crap.

Besides, SMS language (like "u") is against Rule 6. And I quote,

"Do not write in SMS language - this is annoying for the readers. Use punctuation. For example, do not write 'any1 like' but 'What do you think about my drawing?'"

And short replies are against rules 15 and 7:

No short answers

No useless topics

I agree,so keep it for yourself.

It always annoys me when someone types something down in SMS language,but I just pay no attention to it.

I think it's alright to type "u" once and a while but, if it is carried too far then, it is just plain moronic.

Example of what I think is acceptable: Yes, I agree with u. Balto does seem to have changed colours throughout the movies.

Example of what I think is rediculous: YEA! I rly feel u when u tlk 'boot dat! L8ter!

As you see, the one above is waaayyy worse than the first!XP
