Post subject: "Mods...(blah blah)" Topics are retarded Posted: Fri Dec 22, 2006 12:53 pm |

[rant]
Does anyone notice that a number of topics here are about mods? Seriously, just stop posting about it. The mods are doing their jobs, period.
I think mods are quick to react. One of them locked my topic because it should've been taken to private message. It didn't even take them that long, and I'm suprised that some people say mods don't know how to be mods.
So, do you think you could do a better job? The moderators take time out just to lock topics and other stuff because of the retarded members. It would seem like the mods were doing their job if there was less crap to look over maybe...
Eh, I'm sure someone will come marching in here (like a mod for instance) to disagree on some retarded little thing in my post, like catwhohas14tails, who just randomly started to...Whatever. I've tried supporting the mods at one topic but apparently one of em thought I was being sarcastic.
P.S. I've been questioned about my knowledge of things several times, being a new member, with a small amount of posts. The thing is, I mostly look over topics, and don't post unless I have something important to say that hasn't been mentioned before, unlike most people here. Also, this is my other account, I've actually been here longer than this. I asked steet to delete my second account because I didn't need it. The reason I had it is a long story, that you DONT want to hear. Hopefully that explained it.
P.P.S. If someone disagrees, offer EVIDENCE of how you are right.

I'm not bashing you, but if you haven't noticed, a LOT of people flame on mod topics. The people who hate or dislike mods, will come storming in here, and flame you. Then it'll turn into a huge flame war. And so, I'm not saying your topic is pointless, but it's just going to cause you trouble.

Yes, It may cause me trouble. Every thing I ever say on this forum causes me trouble, wether it's a disagreeing member, or...no specific names, right Dingo? ...
All I did was post a topic asking for proof that the mods don't do their jobs, and I was supporting the mods. I that such a bad thing?
Besides, I think the topic "Copycats" is similar in how it is somewhat not so nice, but no big, superb, gigantic, "flame wars" were started.
By the way, a short mini-rant:
STOP using the term "flame" or "flame war". Instead, use argue instead of flame, and arguement instead of flame war.
Seriously, please stop it, everyone who reads this. It's just not a good use of vocabulary and frankly, I don't like it......

People flame mods because they've done something to them that they didn't like. A mod locks a topic and gains an enemy. A mod bans someone for spamming and gains an enemy. It's just the way it works. It's natural.
I don't appreciate how people flame the mods but I see why they do it. Most people think that things should be done their way or that the mods should cut them some slack, but topics about things such as gay relationships and asking for phone numbers are going to be locked. People just don't understand that. People who flame the mods hate all of them just because one of them did something that they didn't like.

Exactly, if people would actually read the rules and listen to them, they wouldn't get banned. It's not hard, heck, I'm sure more then 30% of people here have been banned atleast once.
They have to realize that they are the ones at fault and not the mods. I suggest to just ignore them.

It's basicly the Mods are the police of the site and what the bad guy hate the police suprise suprise.
Anyway I think the mods do their jobs really well. The site has gotten alot cleaner within the least few weeks.

Yes, white wolf. The new mods are certainly doing a better job. There isn't as many flames and arguments!

Insulting a mod and giving constructive criticism are two different things.
Case in point, this example.
[example]
Insulting: "<insert name here>, you're doing a bad job. You suck as a mod. You should kill yourself. blah blah blah."
C.C.: "<insert name here>, I should mention that you aren't doing you job the well. Here are some suggestions..."
[/example]
see what I mean. The line between insult and constructive criticism is very thin, so it's hard sometimes to decide which is which.
do I support either side of this arguement, unless one has a machine gun point at my head, no. I just wanted to post this to help with the arguement.
