Hello!

I write many stories about Wolves. And now...after 1,5 years after ending my first Wolf-story (this one) I translated it for the whole world. Because in all German forums I heared much laud. No I want to see, what say the people ,,out there''?
I know my English isn't the best...but I hope you'll understand.
I want to know your opinion.

(For the Germans on the board: Die Geschichte gibt's auf Deutsch, bei Interesse ~~>PN an mich.^.^)

For knowing how to speak the names: Emmie [ammee], Kasi [kasee (the a like in hardware)], Fletscher [flatcher (tch like in chess, the r like the r in French], Tessa [tessa, but an a like in hardware], Fårhund [Swedish: Forhuend (like Ü or U in French, the U like in Müsli, Kümmel], Karlsson [karlsson [the a like the a in hardware], all other Rs in the names like R in French, Luc [luek (the U like Ü or U in French, the U like in Müsli, Kümmel)] Jolie [jolee (French: pretty)]

(Wolves in the snow I)

This story starts at a new morning in a hard winter in December of North Sweden. On the hills lays much snow, the firtrees are are also covered of snow. A bird flies to its nest to feed its babies with cranberries. You can hear the howling of a wolf far away.

The young Wolf is white, lays in a hole and his leg is wound.
He is howling sad. He don't belive that anyone will help him. But a she-Wolf had heard him and she comes to him. „This isn't very intelligent!“ He terrifies. He stutters: „M-my leg is hurt!“
„I see!“ She has grey fur and a furry tail. „I'll help you! But you know: All other animals in the forest did hear you. And if the humans did hear you are you in big danger.“ She jumps to a bough so she goes down to the white Wolf. He bites in the bough but the bough don't come back over the border of the hole and so he is at the bough over the hole and hangs there. „And now?“ he asks. She goes a bit back and runs then and jumps over the hole, takes him at the fur and both land on the other side of the hole. The withe Wolf is saved! For first. „Thank you!“ „It's okay. But now go back to your pack.“ „B-but I've no pack. I lost my pack when humans came and killed the other Wolves. But my parents were dead, yet. I don't know where to go now.“ „If you want: Come to my pack! We take you to our pack.“ „R-really?“ he asks with a timid smile. „Of course!
Come with me!“ And so both Wolves go over a path trough the forest. He goes very slowly because he's hurt, so she goes slowly with him. The withe Wolf: „What’s your name?“ „My name is Emmie. I hope Jeffer is agree that we take you in the pack.“
„Who's Jeffer?“ „Our leader. He’s sometimes a bit severe but he is a nice Wolf.“ „My name is Till!“ „Hello Till!“ They arrive to the pack. Emmie tells to the others of Tills helplessness. All Wolves are agree to take him in the pack.
But one Wolf isn’t agree. Jeffer: „Emmie! I have to talk with you! We both alone!“ She goes with him to a place near the Packs Place. Jeffer: „Emmie! Why didn't you think of the danger? He had could kill you!“ „Jeffer! He’s a young, hurt Wolf. He isn't evil!“ „You didn't know! And he cannot stay here!“ „Why not?“ „Bacause we've enough own problems!“ „But Jeffer! He’s hurt! He has no help. He needs our help!“ She whispers: „...my help.“ „No! He cannot stay here! It’s my decise. What I say is law!“ „No, Jeffer! I never would let him or an other helpless Wolf in the dangerous forest alone.“ „But think to us!“ „The others are agree that he'll stay here. So why don’t you?“ „Because he’s not a problem of us! The humans come here and we are in big danger. We have to leave this place! Tomorrow!“ „Yes, so it is. But that's no problem with him!“ „Yes, it is! Because he’s hurt. He cannot walk fast with his wound leg.“ „Okay, then you go with the pack and I’ll follow you with him.“ „Never! What's about our puppies? I never want to see you in danger. If you would go with him alone are you and our puppies in bigger danger than if we go as a whole pack.“
Suddenly Kasi, the best mate of the leader, comes to the both Wolves. „I think he's okay!“ Emmie looks happy. Kasi: „He’s a nice Wolf and I don't think that he's a danger for us. He’s only very helpless.“ Emmie: „You see, Jeffer. Why are you so distrusful?“ Jeffer thinks over Kasis words. „Okay...then I'll go with him tomorrow. And you, Emmie, go with the pack!
They know the first path of our long journey.“ But Jeffer’s discontented. Emmie goes to him and wheedles him with her head. „Thank you!“ She goes a step back and looks very serious in his eyes: „But please take care for him! I entrust you!“ „Yes, I know.“ „You must give him safety. And if there’s a danger, you have to fight for him, okay?“ „Fight? For this...Wolf?" She looks serious. Jeffer: „Okay but I'll not risk my life.“ „Oh yes! You will.“ „I wanted to see our puppies, too!
I'm their father. They’ll need me. And the white Wolf, he's only a poor beggar!“ „You say it! And he has my safe! If you are not agree to help him, if there’s a danger, I'll go with him.“ „No no! So I'll do...“ says he, but he doesn't look in her eyes.
Emmie asks very serious: „Is that the truth?“ ,,Yes, it is.
I promise you!“ In the evening lays Till in a little cave and sleeps. The Wolves want to go to another place for howling to the moon.
Emmie goes to Till: „Till! Weak up!“ „Hmm?“ „We’re going howl to the moon. Do you come with us?“ „No...my leg. It's not better.“ „Okay, I understand. Don't worry. I don’t let you stay alone here.“ Jeffer calls Emmie: „Emmie! We have to go now!“ „No, Jeffer! I stay here. Till can't go with us now and I have to stay with him.“ „But...“ She looks serious. „Okay...“ So lays Emmie in front of him. He tries to sleep. Suddenly hears Till a sound between the bushes. „Oh no! Humans!“ he says afraid. Emmie says with a friendly voice to him: „No! This is only Mina.“ Mina is a wild sow with her babies. Emmie goes to them: „Hello Mina!“ „G'day Emmie!“ „How are you?“ „I'm fine, thanks. Where are the others?“ „Don't you hear? They're howling to the moon. I'm here because I'm watching over a hurt Wolf. He sould not be alone now.“ „You all have to leave this place because the humans will come here.“ „I know. Jeffer has an idea for another, safety place.“ „I'm going to the Jutusmountains [yootoos-] with my babies.“ „Okay, also god luck!“ „Yes, you too! Good bye.“ „Good bye...for ever.“ And so she leaves the place. She gives a short look to Till but doesn't say anything. Emmie goes on the top of the cave and looks to the moon. „Till!“ she says. „Yes?“ he asks painful. „Come up to me!“ He tries to walk to her and he does. He takes place besides her and looks to the moon, too. „Can you see the moon? It is so beautiful. I'm loving it.
It gives me the power of life. I forget all my worries and pains if I watch it. For some moments. Its white, magic light shines on the snow, on our fur. If I couldn't see it, I wouldn't want to be alive any more. What do you think? Is it magical for you too?“ „Hmm...a bit. It's very nice.“ But he doesn't see to the moon, only down on the snow. Till: „Can I go back into the cave?“
She laughes a little bit: „Yes, of course.“ And so he leaves the top of the cave and goes down again. Emmie says to him:
„But think for my words. The moon can help you in your mind if you want it.“ Till whispers for himself: „Emmie and her Luna...“ After some minutes she goes back, too. She places her in front of the cave and whispers to him: „Try to sleep. Think for something beautiful!“ „I...try...“ In the next morning the Wolvs start their long journey.
Jeffer awakes Till rough. Emmie goes with the pack.
Jeffer: „Wolf! Come on!“ calls Jeffer with bad voice to Till.
Till hobbles to him. After a while arrives the pack with Emmie to the first place of break. All sit down and do a break.
Emmie calls Kasi to her. „Kasi! We’ve to check up the place of any danger. You go left and I go right.“ „Yes, okay.“
Emmie runs in the forest. Under the firtrees lays no snow.
She runs in the darknes of the trees. No danger. So she goes back to the pack. Kasi is also back again. „Is there any danger?“ „No, Emmie! I think there isn't.“ Jeffer goes very fast so it is hard for Till to follow him.
„Jeffer! Please...wait! I...I can’t go so fast! My leg!“ „You’re so miserable, withe Wolf!“ Till gasps for breath. Jeffer: „I'll hunt. You go straight! When I'm back I hope you're there at the birch!“ But when Jeffer is away, Till places himself. He needs a break. After a while Jeffer comes back with a dead squirrel in his mouth. Till wants to eat something drom it but Jeffer growls. „You’re a chap! Don't try to eat before I ate! I am the leader, okay?“ Till has fear. He trembles. „Never would a chap-Wolf like you stay alive in this wilderness...“ he whispers:
„Out of that he knows Emmie...“ Emmie wants to finish the break. But the Wolves are very tired. So she has to speak louder to have respect. The pack loves Emmie because she’s very nice to all of them. But nobody loves Jeffer very much. Only one. Emmie is not so severe like Jeffer. All like her. In the afternoon Emmie and the pack arrive the first stop. It is the Deer-Forest. The Wolves want to sleep only. Emmie sits on a foundling. Kasi comes and takes place besides her. Emmie: „I' worried.“ „Why are you?“ „Why I’m? Kasi! Jeffer and Till are alone in the big forest and they are not so fast. I hope they can escape if humans come.“ „Don't worry! Jeffer takes care of him. They aren't in big danger.

I know Jeffer for a long time.“ „Yes, you're right. But...“ He wants to change the theme: „What's about your puppies?“ She looks to her belly. „I think they’re okay. I hope it.“ „Yes, so I hope too.
It must be so nice to lay in mothers warm belly.“ she laughes: „Yes so it must be.“ They are silent. Emmie: „I think it's good to look for them.“ Kasi: „What? But...“ „I'll go back. I'm too worried.“ „But Emmie! You'll be in danger, too.“ „If Jeffer and Till are in danger, I want to be in danger, too!“ „But I think it's a bit silly.“ „Kasi! It's my decison! I'm adult! Watch over the pack. We'll come here together!“ So she runs back in the dangerously forest. She runs back the whole tract. She runs and it seems that she'll never stop. She has to know what's about Jeffer and Till. She hopes they’re okay. She runs all kilometres back on the path. She runs back in the danger of killing by humans. She has big fear. But she has fear in Jeffer and Till, too. And so she never will give up looking for them. She stops. Should she go more straight on or will it be a big fault because Jeffer and Till are in safety, yet? But she doesn't want to give up. She has to risk it. After some kilometres she can see like trees are falling down: humans. They cut the trees. If they will see Emmie they’ll kill her. Emmie the pregnant she-Wolf. But she can see them: Till and Jeffer. She’s happy to see them in this well-being. They seems to be fine. „Jeffer! Till!
I worried! Are you fine?“ Jeffer is shocked to see her at this dangerous place: „Emmie? Emmie! Why aren't you in the pack?“ „They're safe. But I wanted to know what's about you and so I came back to look for you.“ „But...Emmie! If the humans can see you!“ „You are in big danger! The humans are near.“ „Yes and you’re here. Why did you come back?
Why didn't you stay in safety?“ „As I said: I worried in you.
Till are you okay?“ „M-my leg. It hurts!“ „I know...“ Jeffer:
„He’s so slow and so the humans will find us! Emmie! Let’s run to the pack! Fast! Only we both!“ „And what's about Till?“
„If we stay with him we all will be murdered!“ „No! I'll never leave him alone! If you want to go so do. But I don’t leave him in danger.“ So the three Wolves are going slowly through the forest but the humans come nearer and nearer. Jeffer finds a little path away from the path where the humans will come.
So they are in safety for the first moment. But they have to go fast. In the evening haven't the Wolves arrived the pack.
They found a place to sleep in front of a big stone so nobody can see them. Jeffer asks Emmie: „Are you hungry?“ „No, but maybe Till is hungry. Till do you want to eat something?“
He stutteres: „Yes, a little bit.“ „Jeffer, please hunt something to eat for him.“ „For him? Never!“ „So I'll do it.“ „No! It's too dangerous to go back in the forest now.“ „But Till is hungry and he cannot hunt. So I'll do it for him.“ „No, you won’t! Okay I'll hunt for him. Stay here in safety.“ After some minutes Jeffer comes with a prey. It's not nice to see for him that Emmie is so worried for this young Wolf. But he cannot change it.
Emmie has her own will. In the next morning the Wolves arrive the pack. Jeffer wants to go farther but Till can’t. His leg hurts very hard. Jeffer: „This time, Emmie, you'll come with the pack. We both go with the pack. I want to see you in safety.“
„And what's about Till? He needs help.“ „This isn’t our problem!“ „Of course it is.“ Kasi: „I can go with him, okay?“ Jeffer and Emmie are surprised. But Emmie confides him. Emmie: „Yo’ll do the job?“ „Yes, I’ll.“ „But you have to take care of him!“ „I don't want to disappoint you. I promise to take care of him.“ Emmie is appeased. She asks Till: „Are you agree that he goes with you this time?“ „Euh...yes. Yes I am.“ Jeffer: „But you'll be in big danger, Kasi! You risk your life for him!“ „I know. But I want to help him.“ „I hope you know what you do. Come to the big biches at the lake of ice. We'll stay there for the night.“ So the pack starts and Kasi and Till go more slowly. After hours the pack does the first stop.
Jeffer hunts something for Emmie. Suddenly two Wolves of the pack are fighting. Tessa wants to stop it but the stronger Wolves hit her away. Emmie can see it and she goes to the both Wolves and says serious: „Stop fighting!“ The both Wolves stop but they aren't agree because they're angry about the other one. Emmie: „Karlsson! You go now left and you, Joff, go right and think about your action, okay?“ So they do.
When Jeffer comes back and Emmie has eaten the prey they want to start the second tract of the daily journey. Emmie’s looking for Joff. But Jeffer and the pack are ready to start. Jeffer: „Emmie! Come on!“ „No! Joff isn't here.“ She looks worried. Jeffer: „Do you come or not?“ She says very serious: „Jeffer! Joff isn't in the pack and for you it’s not important?“ „We can't risk the lives of all Wolves for only one Wolf.“
„And what would be if this one live would be mine? Wouldn't it be important for you, too?“ „Of course, it would. But Joff isn't Emmie. Come on now!“ But she runs away in the forest for looking for Joff. Jeffer calls: „Emmie! Stay here!“ But she doesn't hear to him. Kasi and Till have a nice talk. Suddenly Till has to say something important to him: „Euh...Kasi?“
„Yes, what’s up?“ „Euh...I...I...“ He smiles about Tills bashfulness. „I'm...falling in love with her.“ „Hm? What do you mean?“ „With Emmie!“ Kasi’s a bit shocked: „With Emmie?“ „Yes...why not?“ He has to laugh: „Because she’s Jeffers lover!“ „Hm? Jeffer and Emmie are loving themselves?“ „Yes so it is! You didn't know?“ „No, I didn't.“ „And...out of that: She’s pregnat of him!“ Till cannot belive: „She’ll have puppies?“
„Yes. You didn't know, too?“ „No I did not, because nobody speaks about it.“ „You cannot love her. Jeffer would kill you.
He’s very jealous!“ „But...“ „Don't tell it to anyone! It’s better for you, belive me.“ „Hmm...“ Till is sad. Kasi: „I know Jeffer very good. We’re well friends. His father took me to the pack when I was a little dog-puppy.“ „Dog-puppy? You aren't a Wolf?“ Kasi laughs: „No, I'm not. Didn't you see? I'm a dog.
I'm a husky.“ „Yes but my fur isn't grey, too. So it means...I...I'm no Wolf, too?“ „(Laughing) Of course you are a Wolf. I'm the only non-Wolf in the pack. Don't worry.“ Emmie can see Joffs tail at the back of a stone. She runs to it: „Joff! Joff! I'm so glad to see you again. The pack...“ but then she can see in his face. He has foams at the mouth. He has raving madness. „Grrr...“ „Joff? Joff, what's about you?“
She whispers for herself: „Oh no!“ „Dou you belive all Wolves like you? Because you're our leader with Jeffer?“ „Joff? What are tou talking?“ „I’ll show you my right opinion about you.“ Emmie escapes. Joff follows her. She arrives a hole. She jumps in it and Joff stands over it and looks to her. „Now are you in a trap! I'll kill you!“ She has much fear: „But Joff! I’ll be a mother! My puppies!“ „It cannot keep you in safety!“ He growls and foams falls on her head. Suddelny a bear comes. Joff runs to it and fight with him. Emmie only hear growlings. After some minutes it’s silent. But the bear comes to her and looks at her, too. She has more fear. She ducks herself in the hole. The bear tries to catch her with his big paw. But it cannot catch her. Emmie’s safe. So the bear gives up and goes away.
Emmie jumps out of the hole and she can see the dead Joff. „Joff...“ says she sad. „It's not your fault...“ she whispers:
„It was my fault. I'm sorry, Joff.“ Some humans find Kasi and Till. One of the two people has a gun. Kasi sees it and says to Till: „Till! Try to escape! I'll turn away the humans. Run!” „But I cannot. My leg.” „Try it!” Kasi runs left and Till right. Kasi growls for some seconds to the humans. They want to kill him. But Kasi runs away. Till hides himself under a firtree. The man with the gun aims at Kasi.
Kasi runs but he cannot escape. The man shoots on him.
Kasi falls dead on the earth. The men are looking for Till but they can't find him. So they leave the forest. Emmie was very worried about Tills and Kasis well-being and so she went back the path to search them. Now she arrives the place of Kasis dead. She can see Till who comes on the path with tears in his eyes. She’s happy to see him. She runs to Till: „Till! I'm so happy to see you! Are you fine? Till? Where’s Kasi? Why are you weeping?” „Emmie! It makes good to me to see you.
But Kasi...follow me...” „Follow? Why? What’s about him? Where he is?” Till goes with Emmie to Kasis corps. Emmie is shocked: „Kasi! Kasi! What happened?!” Till narrates it.
„The humans saw us and Kasi...he safed my life. He tourned away them but it coested him his life.” „What will Jeffer say? They were good friends...” „He’s a hero.”
She speaks low: „Yes...this he is.” Emmie sits there besides Kasi and cries. Kasis blood colours his fur. His blue eyes are dead. The blood flows in the cold snow. Emmie: „Let's go...we must arrive the pack today. Jeffer worries about us.” But this day they don’t arrive the pack. Now they sleep under a tree together and Emmie warms Till with her beautiful fur. In the next morning they go straight on. Till cannot keep back his feelings to her: „Emmie...” „Yes what do you want to tell me...?” „I don't know how to tell….” „Do it easy.” But she doesn’t know what he wants to say to her. „Emmie...I'm falling in love with you.” He looks down and not in her yellow eyes because he can’t. Emmie’s surprised to hear this: „What?
You love me?” He nod assents. „But...but...” she laughes. „Oh no. I'm not laughing about you, Till! You have to belive me. But you have to know: I'm very surprised. But Till...we can’t love ourselves." He’s shocked: „Why not?” „Till...I’m Jeffers darling and I love him.

I’ll have puppies from him. We'll be a family.” „But why didn't you tell?” „You didn't ask.” she says friendly. Emmie: „Out of that I'm too old for you!” „How old are you?” She laughes: „Too old! You’re a young Wolf but I’m for a long time adult, yet. Please don't be sad. But I didn't think you would love me. Jeffer would be very angry about that. He musn't hear it! I'm sure you'll find a girlfriend when the time is okay...maybe it will be a she-Wolf of the pack. But I...I could be your mother.” „But why do you love this evil Wolf?” „Till!” she says serious: „Jeffer isn’t evil! He’s a bit severe, I know. But he’s a very loveley Wolf. We loves ourselves. If you want...I can be your ,compensation-mother’. „Wich thing?” „You said you've lost your mother. And I think you are like my son. My big son.” „But I think you‘ll have puppies.” „Yes and you'll be their big brother. I like you like my son. I'll love you as my son my whole live, okay?” „Hmm...” „Can you imagine that I am your mother?” „Yes. But you’re very beautiful altough!” „Thank you. But let’s be a family.
I'll love you like my other children, I promise!” So Till is agree. In the next evening the both Wolves arrive the pack. The pack waited for one day and didn't coninue the journey. Jeffer runs to Emmie: „Emmie! Finally! I was worried about you! W-where’s Kasi?” „Jeffer...” she becomes low: „Kasi isn't still alive!” „What?” he asks loud. „What do you mean?”
„The humans killed him. He wanted to safe Tills life and it costed him his own life. Don’t be too sad. He knew what he did.” „Sad? I'm not sad! I'm angry!” Emmie and Till go to the other Wolves. Jeffer stands still and his face signs shock. Emmie tells it to the pack. All Wolves are very sad. Joff and Kasi are dead. Before the Wolves start sleeping, Jeffer goes to Till who lays on the snow and tries to sleep. „You silly Wolf!” cries Jeffer. He bites him in the nack. Till: „Oh! Please not!” Emmie frightens. Jeffer: „Kasi is dead because of you! I'm gonna kill you!” Emmie runs to the both Wolves. Emmie:
„Let him in peace, Jeffer!” „It’s his fault that Kasi is dead!”
„No! Kasi gave his life to safe him!” But Jeffer bites him altough. Emmie takes a run for attacking Jeffer. She jumps against his flank. The both Wolves falling down the little slope. Till‘s shocked. The whole pack is shocked. The two Alphawolves are fighting. Down Jeffer helps her to come up but he’s furioius about her altough. He goes up to the Packs Place. He roars to the surpriosed Wolves: „Don't look so silly! Do your own things!” Emmie stands over Till to save him. He has fear.
Jeffer wants to attack Till but Emmie says with a bad voice: „Let him in peace! If you want to attack him first you have to attack me!” Jeffer only growls and snarps. Then he goes some meters away from the Packs Place and sulks. Emmie speaks to Till: „Are you okay?” „T-thank you, Emmie.” „You don't have to say thank you because I am your mother, don’t forget!”, she says friendly. In the night the moon shines bright. Jeffer is sitting on a stone. Emmie goes to him and takes place besides him. Emmie: „Jeffer! That wasn’t nice from you. I like Till! #
He isn't fault of Kasis dead. For me he’s like a son.
Please accept it.” „Since he’s in our pack we've trouble.”
„He has no fault of Joffs dead, too!” „I didn't mean Joffs dead or Kasis dead. I'm meaning our relation.” „Because you hate him and there's no reason.” „Go away now! I want to have my peace!” Emmie is disconented. She wants to talk to him.
But she obeys.
In the next morning the pack has to start the last tract of the journey. Jeffer comes to Emmie an awake her. He says serious: „We start the last tract today! And you'll go with the pack!” „And what's about Till?” „I'll go with him.” „You? I cannot confide you, Jeffer!” „Yes you can. I promise you. In our love.” „He has fear of you.” „He doesn't need. Go with the pack!
You'll arrive the finish today evening.” „Till! Please come to me!” she calls. „Yes? W-what's about me?” he sees Jeffer and becomes afraid. Emmie: „Jeffer promised me to take care of you. He wants tom go with you today.” Jeffer doesn’t look at the both. Emmie: „Don't worry, he promised me. He never would lie to me. So it is, Jeffer?” He doesn't respond Emmie. Emmie speaks louder: „So it is, Jeffer?” Enervated asks he: „Yes, of course!” Emmie: „Please confides him. If you confides him you cnfides me and you can confide of myself. He never would hurt Emmies son.” „Hmmm...okay.” But Till’s worried. The pack goes with Emmie. She hopes that all will be okay. Because of the humans, too. Jeffer knows, if he would hurt Till, Emmie would leave him. Till ,has’ her heart. The pack likes to go with Emmie. Everyone likes her. She’s so friendly to all of them. Emmie talks with Tessa about puppies. Jeffer’s very angry about Till. He seems to hate him. But why this hatres? Till did nothing. Jeffer goes very fast so Till can’t follow him so easy. But suddenly Jeffer stops. He thinks.
Then he goes with an angry look back to Till. Till has fear.
Jeffer’s strong and lost his best friend. He belives that is Tills guilt. Till ducks. Jeffer comes and stand near him, growls:
„Kasi was like a brother to me. We knew us since we were puppies. Suddenly you came and he died! And you're alive.”
Till trembles of fear. „If Emmie wouldn't give you safety I would kill you! Now!” he roars in his afraid face. Jeffer looks very bad. In the afternoon Emmie has arrived at their destinatron. They're very happy. All the Wolves want only to sleep now. They're very tired and weak. Emmie’s worried about Till and Jeffer. She thinks about going back. But she has to think for Kasis warning. Now he’s dead. So she doesn’t want to go back in the danger. After hours Jeffer and Till arrive at the new Packs Place. But Jeffer’s not very happy. Emmie is happy to see the both Wolves here. She runs to them. But Jeffer says: „No no no no! This isn’t the new packs place! You were to slowly!
The journey is much longer! We’re not at our new home!” „But...” Till looks happy: „Emmie! Jeffer safed my life!”, he says excited. Emmie is surprised. Till: „There was a bear and he bit it and so I ran away!” „That's nice! I'm happy to hear this.
But Till...here isn’t yet our new home. The pack and me, we were to slow. You have to keep on going.” „But...but I’m tired.” „I...know...” Jeffer calls Emmie: „Emmie! Come on! We keep on going!” „I‘ll not leave Till alone.” „This isn’t our problem, Emmie.” Jeffer didn't change himself. He tries to be bad of new time. Tessa asks: „Emmie? Can't I go with him?” „If you promise to take care on him?” „Yes I will.” „Till, are you agree?” „Yes I’m agree. But I'll miss you, Emmie...mother...” „We see us tomorrow, I promise!” It’s hard for Till to keep on going but there’s no other possibility. In the night the pack is going trough a blizzard. The storm is very powerful and it's not easy for the Wolves to keep on going. Emmie and Jeffer go at the top of the group. Emmie: „Jeffer...I need a break. We all need a break.” „No! We've lost much of safe projection. The humans musn't find us.” „But I’ve to carry more Wolves than only myself. Don't forget!” „The next break will tomorrow in the morning. Straight on!” Emmie looks back. She sees Tessa. She’s alone! Emmie runs back to the end of the group.
Jeffer cries: „Emmie! Stay here! What are you doing?”
Emmie arrives Tessa: „Tessa! Where's Till?” „He’s behind me..oh no!” She looks back. „But he was behind me! But I don't know where he is now.” „You promised to take care on him!” she says angry. So she runs back. Tessa calls to Emmie: „I'm sorry...” Emmie keep on going back. Back in the danger. Back with the blizzard. She cannot see much in this storm of snow. „Till?” she calls. „Till! Where are you? Please answer! Till! My son! Please answer! I'm worried about you. Please say something! Till!” But there's no answer. Then she can see the outline of a Wolf. She doesn't know: is it Till? Or is it any danger? She knows she’s in big danger. She and her unborn puppies. But she decises to keep on going to the Wolf.
Suddenly she can see: Yes it’s Till. He feels very cold.
Because the icy storm is very cold. She runs to him. He’s happy to see her. „E-E-Emmie. Good t-to s-see you!” Then he falls down of weakness. Emmie is worried. The danger is big.
She lays her warm body on his back to keep him warm.
„I'll mind on you. I leave you not alone. Never.” „And what's about the humans? What if they come?” „Then...we're lost.” „And your puppies?” „They also would be lost. But don't think of it. Think to some nice thing!” „F-for t-the moon?”
„Yes...for instance...for instance for the moon.” In the next morning the both are covered with snow.
Emmie shakes her body so the snow falls down. She stands up. Then she awakes Till: „Till! Weak up! We‘ve to keep on going now!” „Hmmm...?” „Come on! Let's go!” They arrive a frozen lake. Till: „And what can we do now?”
„We ‘ve to go over it. I'll go first.” „No! Think for your puppies!” „Yes, I’ll do. But you are my son, forgotten?” „No, I didn’t!
But your puppies aren’t born and they want to see something of its new life. But I...I saw a bit of my life and I'm older.”
„No Till! You saw nothing of your whole life. Your life has only began. But the puppies aren't still born. They wouldn't feel the pain. They would die in mothers belly.” „And what's about you?” „I'm older than you and my life isn’t so important like yours. I'll go first.” „But if you brakes in the lake. And your and Jeffers puppies. He would kill me.” „So it would be important to look for another pack. But we hope that all is going to be good.” „Mother...” he asks sad: „Is there no other possobility?” „Do you see anything? A bridge? Here is nothing! The pack has crossed the lake, too.” „Yes but in the night it was colder.

No the ice is not so strong to carry our bodies.” „I think we’ll make it. Think to some nice thing. It makes us strong.”
So Emmie does the first stap on the ice. It cracks. Till cannot see to her. But Emmie takes all her courage. The ice carries her. At the middle of the lake Emmie has the most fear. At no place of the ice is the danger bigger than here. The ice cracks again. A long crack is to see in the ice under Emmies body.
Her paws trimbles. She has fear. She’ll see Jeffer again.
She wants to be mother for young puppies. And Till needs her help. She must stay alive! She takes all her courage for one more time and goes straight on. She made it! She arrives the safety side of the see, the other shore. She looks back to Till: „Come on, Till! You’ll make it! I'm more heavy than you! So the ice will carry you!” “Maybe now it’s a bit broken and isn’t longer so strong!” „Till! Think positive!”
„I-I...try...” He has not so much courage but he thinks for Emmie. Emmie is the good thing for what he wants to stay alive. Not for the moon. The moon is only a big white circle.
But Emmie...she’s his mother. She’s so a nice she-Wolf. It's the thing for what he loves the life. He never wants to loose her. Not of death or other things. He never wants to be alive without her. But in far away times he’ll have to do it. Because Emmie’s older than Till. But he doesn't want to think about this terrible time. A live without Emmie...no more! He musn’t die!
Because Emmie would be very sad about her sons death.
She needs her son, Till. He musn't disappoint her. He trimbles. Emmies has also much fear. She has fear for her son. For Till. She likes him very much. Like a son. They hope that all will find a good end. Now Till has arrived the middle. He looks over to Emmie. She smiles and gives him courage. But Till make it.
He arrives the safe shore. Emmie and Till are happy. So they go the last kilometers to the new Packs Place. Emmie had the scent of Jeffer. Till sees the cave on the place. He wants to place him in it. But Jeffer stos him and growls: „This cave is only for the leader and his darling, white Wolf!” Emmie looks bad. But it doesn't interest Jeffer. Till places himself on another place in the snow. Emmie comes and looks nice to him.
He whispers: „It’s so sad that Kasi isn't here. Why didn’t he make the journey? Why he could not stay alive? He was so a nice gog.” Emmie says serious: „You mean dog!” „Euh...yes...I'm sorry. I never heard this word before...I'm sorry...” After some months Emmie bring forth her puppies. Two little Wolves. A she-Wolf and a male Wolf. They lay under her mother. Jeffer: „They're so sweet.” „Yes so it is. Wich name would you give to the little Jeffer?” „Euhm...I think Luc would be a good name for him.” Emmie whispers: „Yes! Luc is a beautiful name.” She calls Till: „Till! Come here, please!”
Jeffer snarps, shows his theeths.
Emmie says to him: „Jeffer! Be quiet now!” Till looks afraid. Emmie: „Till, my son...wich name have you for the little Emmie?” Jeffer: „What? No no! Only the leaders are allowed to give names!” „No! I want that Till invent her name! It's my decision!” With a bad mood leaves the leader the Packs Place and goes to another, smaller cave some metres away. You can’t see the cave from the Packs Place. Till: „If Jeffer wants he can invent her name, it's no problem for m...”
„No Till, I want to have a name from you for the little she-Wolf!” „Okay...” Emmie looks happy. „She's so pretty. I think Jolie would be nice.” „Yes it is. So she’ll have this name.”
The pack is howling. All Wolves are happy. Out of Jeffer. He doesn’t understand why Emmie likes Till. He isn’t her son!
He’s only a silly little Wolf. But Emmie likes him.
Jeffer wishes that she had never found him. Some months are gone but the two puppies are still puppies. Emmie nurses them. They're very thursty. Jeffer and all the male Wolves are at hunt. Out of Till. Then a strange male Wolf comes to the Packs Place. He asks Tessa bad: „Who’s the leader of your pack and where it is?” „O.. o.. our leader is in this cave there.” She and the other Wolves have fear of him. Emmie still didn't see him. He stands in front of the cave and looks to Emmie with his evil-look: „And you're the leader of this pack?” She terrifies: „Yes I'm. And who are you?” she has a bit fear, too. „My name is Fletscher! And I'll take the leading of your pack. I think a battle wouldn’t be very intelligent for you. You're only a weak she-Wolf.” „B-but Jeffer...he won’t.”
„Jeffer? Who's that?” „My lover.” „And where he is in times of danger?” „He hunts for the pack.” „Okay, I'll wait for him.” After some minutes Jeffer and the other Wolves come back to the Packs Place. Fletscher asks with a bad voice: „Who of you is Jeffer?” Jeffer walks to the top of the group and says serious: „That's me!” „I'm gonna lead your little pack.
But at first you’ll die!” Jeffer attacks him. The both, strong Wolves are fighting.
But Jeffer isn't so strong like in old times. Today he’s more weak. Emmies fear is the fear of a anxious darling. She loves him. But Jeffer loose the fight. He’s still alive but he cannot fight more. His neck bleeds. He has pains to stand up. Then he goes to the other cave, some metres away from the Packs Place. Emmie’s sad. In the evening she goes to Fletscher.
First she has to yield to him. „Please, Fletscher, let me go to my lover. He’s hurt and needs my companionableness! I won’t be long keep away from the pack, I promise.” Her voice is signefed of fear. He only growls. She goes to the little cave away from the place. Jeffer lays in it and has terrible pains. Emmie places her besides him.
She gives consolation to him. Emmie: „Jeffer…” „Please…” it’s difficult for him to speak: „Take care on our children…and do all the newe leader wants to see. You have to stay alive for the Wolves. Obey him…it’s important for your life.” She’s weeping.
„And…educate Luc and the little Emmie to become two strong, proud Wolves.” „I…(sighs) promise…” She licks his bloody fur.
In the next morning she wakes up and wants to awake Jeffer. „Jeffer? Jeffer! Wake up! Please!” She shakes him careful.
But Jeffer is dead. Emmie’s weeping. She knows he knew it. She lays there, besides him and is weeping. Then she stands up. She’s very sad. Her lover is gone. She picks him at the nack and is taking him to a dag hole of herself. She lays his corps in it. One tear of her eye is falling down on his grey fur.
She covers the tomb with soil. She howls. All Wolves of the pack can hear it and know, now is their leader gone. Sad goes Emmie back to the group. She hates Fletscher. But she isn’t aible to do something against him. On a hunt, without Fletscher, ask some Wolves Emmie, what she’ll do no. But she thinks for Jeffers request to her. She cannot make a resistance to Fletscher. She has to do what he commands. Emmie has two puppies and they need her mother. If Fletscher would kill Emmie in a revolution they wouldn't have a mother any more. Some months are gone and Fletscher calls Tessa. He wants to talk to her, alone. „Tessa! I want to have your help. I thought about Emmie and I think it would be nice if she would be a leader together with me. She can lead the pack with me if she wants to do this.” Tessa looks happy. Fletscher: „But it must be a surprise for her! I wanna meet her tomorrow at the forest-place. Go only with her to this place and don't say anything because it must be a surprise! I want to talk to her about it. And when she stands on this place you go hunt something to eat. She’ll be hungry when she hears my proposition. Did you understand what I mean?” „Yes I did. Okay I'll do what you command.” „But: No word to anybody!” In the next day Tessa calls Emmie: „Emmie, please come here. I want to show you something.” Emmie doesn’t know what this can be. But she goes to Tessa. „Come with me, I've a surprise for you. Belive me it will be nice.” „A surprise?” „Yes a surprise and you will be happy, I promise. Please come with me.” Emmie calls to Till: „Till? I'll back in a few minutes please take care on Luc and Jolie!” „Yes okay.” Tessa and Emmie go through the dark forest. Emmie: „Is it far away?” „No it isn't. You can trust me, Emmie.” „Yes of course I do.”
At the place: „So here it is.” „I can see nothing.” „Please have paciene! Wait a little time. I'll hunt something.” „Hunt?
But what should I do here alone? The forest is dangerous.”
„Yes we both are in danger. But we're for all times in danger. But I think all will be okay. Wait here. Only a little time!
See you!” And then she runs away. Emmie calls to her:
„But Tessa...!” Emmie is wondering. What will happen now? Fletscher comes. Emmie become anxious. She trembles a bit. Fletscher looks bad, like all times. Fletscher: „Follow me!”
He wants to go away but he sees, Emmie doesn’t follow him. She has fear. Fletscher growls bad: „Come with me! Now!” Emmies fear is to big and she has to think for the promise to Jeffer. She follows him. The both Wolves come to a cage of the humans. Emmie: „What’s this for a strange cave?” In the cage is a piece of meat. Fletscher goes in the cage and says to her: „Come in and help me to get the meat. I cannot do it alone.” „But...” „Now!” he roars bad. She goes in it. Fletscher and Emmie try to get the meat. Suddenly Fletscher jumps out of the cage and the lattice is falling down. Emmie’s caught in the cage. She looks anxious to Fletscher. He laughes bad and is happy because she’s caught: „The clever Emmie! Caught in this thing and no one can help her! The humans will take your pretty fur. And you’ll die! The clever darling of the strong leader!”

He laughes bad and walks away. She looks sad to him. She sits down and eats the meat. In the evening comes a Volvo. She becomes very anxious. The humams! Now she’s lost. No one can help her. Not Jeffer, not Till and no one of the others. An old man get out of his car and goes to the cage: „Hej, little Wolf. Who're you?” She trembles. She goes back to the end of the cage. He opens it. He speaks with an nice voice: „You’ve to leave the cage. If the hunters see you here they'll kill you.” She has too big fear to growl or snarl. He goes back to the car to get a lead. He goes to her and does the lead over her had. He pulls her a bit: „Come on! You’ve to come with me! Come out!” She has fear but she has to go out. Outside he takes her in the car. He starts going by car with her. Emmie doesn’t know what it is. She only knows that she is moving. The man goes with her to his little house. He takes her out.
He has to pull the lead. Emmie can hear a dog wich barks.
The man opens the door. There stands a German Shepherd. Dog and Wolf are watching themselves. The dog sniffs at her. She’s wondering. „Hello Fårhund. I hope you didn't miss me?” They go inside. He takes the lead away from Emmie and says: „I'll call you ,Varg'." Fletscher gives a report what happend. He tells the pack the humans came and the both Wolves tried to escape. But Emmie didn't make it. Nobody belives him. All Wolves know- he has killed her. But they are sure: Emmie’s dead. Till is angry. Fletscher asks Till: „Are you the father of the two pups?”
„Y-yes I'm.” „And who is the mother?” „Tessa!” „You're very young for being a father. But we need new, strong Wolves in the pack.” If he would know about the real parents of Luc and Jolie he would kill them. So it's better to say nothing. The old man wants to give Emmie and Fårhund food.
Fårhund eats the dog-food with plaisure. But Emmie doesn’t know this food and eats nothing. The old man is wondering.
In the evening the dog wants to go out. The man opens the door and so he runs in the wilderness. The man says to Emmie: „If you want to do this, too, you must learn to obey!” But of course she doesn't understand the meaning of his words.
But then a bear attacks the dog outside. The old man hears his jowling. He runs out. But it's too late. Fårhund is gone.
The bear runs away. The man cannot belive it. His old friend is dead. Emmie comes out to the man and the dead Fårhund and sits her besides him. The man is weeping. The noses at the cacrass. In the next morning the man has made a tomb for his dog. He looks in the eyes of Emmie. She’s so quiet. She doesn't bark.
She often only sits or lays and is looking around or sleeps. Till has to hunt something for the pack. At hunting he meets two she-Wolves. They've both white fur, like Till. Their names are Jera and Tara. The both she-Wolves are very lonley because they've lost their pack. They ask him about coming with Till to his pack. Till’s agree. But when they came to the pack, Fletscher’s very angry. „Till! Where are the two Wolves?“ „Tara and Jera are their names and...“ „Go away, now!“ he roars angry. The Wolves become anxious. They're shocked. Fletscher: „If you don’t leave the place here I gonna kill you!“ They're running away. Till runs with them because he wants to talk with them. „Please...I'm sorry...our leader is very evil.
He hates other Wolves. Please don’t run away from me.
Why we cannot talk about a new meeting?” „But not at your pack.“ „No, of course not. Maybe here in the lonely forest.” „Okay tomorrow at the little river.“
In the night, when the moon is shining, Emmie begins to howl. The man terryfies. „Oh no! Please don’t do that! Please be quiet!“ But he cannot do anything against howling. If he wants to have a Wolf as pet he must accept howling.
Some days later Till and Tara meet themselves alone for this time. Tara wants to speak with him alone. It’s their fourth meeting. Tara: „Till, I want to tell you something.“ „Yes I hear…“ „Till, I’m sure…yes I’m sure to know that: I’m falling in love with you.“ Till smiles: „Oh…“ She stutters: „W-what do you think about it?“ „Yes…I…I feel the same for you, if you understand.“ „Really? Is this your astringency?“ „Of course!”
„And you feel love to me and not to my sister?“ „Yes so it is…Darling!” The both Wolves are kuddling and gives promises to the other one. Promises for life.
It’s evening and the old man sits in front of his chimney. Emmie lays adjacent the window and tries to sleep. But she wakes up when she hears a sound outdoor. She’s growling and watches the shadow. „What’s going on, Varg?” asks the man.
He goes to her and opens the door. Suddenly Emmie is running out and hunts the person who wanted to burglaise. She runs to him and lurks. The burglar becomes anxious and wants to hit her with his crowbar. But the old man comes betimes and aims with the gun to the burglar. After that the police arrests the burglar. A white-blue Volvo with the letters POLIS is stopping near the small house.
The policemen aprehend the picklock. When the policemen see Emmie they admonish the old man:
„We’re sorry but you can’t keep a wild animal in your house. Thins Wolf is a danger for all your neighbours.”
„What do you want to tell me? Here’re no neighbours next 12 km.”
„It’s the law and you’ve to repect the law. If you don’t we’ve to bring it in a zoo.”
The old man becomes said because Emmie’s his only delight after Fårhunds death. Some weeks later is Emmie still living with the man. Suddenly they have visitors. A white transporter and a Saab are stopping besides the small house.
The authorites want to get Emmie for the zoo. The old man can’t stop them. They’re going in the house. When the man went to the door looking who’s there Emmie went in the kitchen for getting some fish. The strange men have gloves for safing their hands against bites and a lead. When Emmie sees the strange men she’s going in the little corner of the kitchen, tries to hide herself. But she’s no chance. Her fear is too much.
One of the men attachs the lead oat her cervix. She doesn’t bite. She has only fear. The old man wants to keep the men but they doesn’t want to discuss. The man pulls Emmie but she doesn’t want to come along. But the man is stronger and he pulls her out of the house. Five metres before arriving the car Emmies pains become too much and she bites the man who’s pulling her in the food. He cries ans looses the lead.
Emmie tries to run away but another man keeps her by stopping the lead with his food. When he wants to abolish the lead Emmie’s biting him also. The man becomes angry and he kicks her in the hind leg. Emmie yowls painful. All the men become afraid and run to their cars and go away. Inside they bellow angry because the safing clothes didn’t do its work.
The old man has charity with ,his’ Emmie and raises her.
But he’s lucky to keep her. He takes her inside the house and gives her a bandage. The following weeks are hard for Emmie. She cannot walk and so it’s difficult to go outside every day. Sometimes she prefer to urinates inside. But this is no thing what makes the really angry. At the same time Tills love becomes more nice and he hooks up with her every day.
But for Emmie it’s going to be a dangerously stay in the mans house. The authorities for enviroment wants to send a hunter. The man becomes very afraid because he likes Emmie very much and he won’t loose her. There’s only one hope for her.
He has to bring her back in nature. So he has to give up the friendship and Emmie isn’t in safety but in his house she’s no little bit in safety- it would be her death. He’s very said about that and watches Emmie eating meet. But there’s no other way to keep her alive. He’ll miss her very much. And she?
She knows nothing. When he looks in her beautiful yellow eyes he sees a nice, lucky and full of eat Wolf. But maybe she has a pack which is missing her. He decises to bring her back in the deep forest. Far away from the people. Some days later he brings her to the place where he found her by car and let her going out. Into the free nautre. Wolves need the liberty.
And she has to be free. She’s no pet and no Plushwolf.
He takes a last photo of her, the Wolf in the snow and goes back into the car. A last good bye and he has to go back. Emmie’s watching the car driving away in the forest. She’ll miss the man, too. It was a very important experience for her- not all men are bad and evil. There’re some people who respect the nature and the animals. But out of that she’s happy to be back in the free forest. She loves it. Also the trees, the snow, the other animals and- her pack. Emmie has a plan. Now she wants to help her pack. She has an idea how to do that. But first she wants to look for her pack. Are they still on Jeffers place?
Are they all fine? Yes they’re still on the old Packs Place.
Emmie creeps herself next the pack. She regards for standing towards the blowing wind in her direction. So Fletscher cannot smell her odour. She’s watching the place and she can see the most Wolves of the pack. But not Till and not Luc and Jolie.
Are they okay? She hopes. After the first look she runs back into the deep forest. She hunts a rabbit. She’s very lonley.
It’s hard to be alone for a Wolf. And for Emmie it’s very hard because a long time ago she was the leader of a pack. Next day Till and Tessa have to hunt a deer for Fletscher. They’re looking for a one in the forest. Suddenly Till smells a special aroma.
He wants to tell Tessa but he doesn’t. But he began to speak a path of a sentence.

Tessa asks: „What? Did you want to tell me soemthing?” „Ehm…no. It was a bad idea. I think it was an error of myself.” „What? What was an error you think?”
„I thought…ouh…nothing.” „No! Please tell me! What did you think?” „It seemed to smell for..for…” „For? For what did it smell? Please tell me.” „For one little moment I thought Emmie is next to us. But it was a said error. Emmie…is dead.” Suddenly Tessa sees Emmie. „No! Look! You were right!
There she is!” Till looks surprised. Tessa: „What a wonderful surprise! Emmie! The right Emmie! She’s still alive!
It’s amazing!” Till runs happy to the smiling Emmie. They can’t belive! Emmie is alive. The little star of the pack. All Wolves missed her so much. And now she’s coming back. Tessa and Till are so glad to see her. And Emmie smiles so nice to them and walks to them. Till: „Emmie! Mama! You’re alive? I’m so glad to see you! My dear Mama!” „Me too, Till, my son.” She says. They’re kuddling. Emmie: „What’s about Luc and Jolie? Are they fine?” „Yes Emmie, don’t worry. They’re okay.” She’s happy to hear that. „Oh this is great. Knows Fletscher that I am their mother and Jeffer the father?” „No, we told him…I’m the father and Tessa the mother.” „And he belived you?” „Yes, he did.
But Luc and Jolie know their real parents.” „Okay, this is important. I think they’re adult.” „Yes they’re not longer whelps. But they are…adult childrens.” Emmie laughs.
Tessa cannot belive…Emmie is still alive. Tessa: „Why..how…I don’t underdstand…”. Emmie looks very serious to her.
„Tessa… Did you try to send me into a trap of Fletscher?”
„A trap? Emmie! No, of course not! What do you think? He said he wants to give you a new chance and so I had the job to bring you to a meeting with him. And when he came alone back to the pack he said the men killed you! It wasn’t my fault!
I was very said about that and the whole pack thought you were dead.” Emmie says nothing. She looks a bit angry.
„Please belive me, Emmie! I never wanted something happens to you. I’m your friend. You forgot?” Till does not understand. Emmie asks: „Do you promise that you only say the truth?” „Yes, Emmie. So I do. Please belive me. I like you very much and I was very sad when I think you were dead. We all were said. We don’t want to loose you. I think I was too naiv and I belived Fletschers lies. I was so happy when he said he wants to give you a new chance. I was blind of happyness. Emmie…………”
Emmie’s still. But then she says: „Okay I trust you. Thank you both for your nice greetings. But I’ve to tell you an important think. I want to free the pack of Fletscher.” Till happy:
„Really? Oh thank you, Emmie!” „Oh no!” she says: „I’ve only an good idea. The exercise is your job.” Till wondering about Emmies words. What does she mean? Emmie: „I want that you fight against Fletscher. I’m sure you’ll make it!” Till is shocked? He? He cannot fight. Till: „B-but Emmie..I’m not very good at fighting. I wanna say the truth…I cannot fight.” „I know, my son. You’re too proficient. But Fletscher isn’t proficient and if he only is able to deal with fights he’ll have a big one.”
„But not me. I’ve fear.” „There’s no need to be afraid. I’ll teach you. Jeffer showed me everything how to fight right.”
„And why do you not fight?” She laughs a little bit: „Till! I know how to fight but I’m not strong enough! It’s your job. Please do not decline. You’re my only hope…my son.” „Hmm…I’ll think for it.” In this moment Jera and Tara are come along. Till’s happy to see them. Now he has all what he loves. His ,mother’ Emmie and Tara, his big love. The two she-Wolves are surprised about the new she-Wolf. Till runs to Tara and Jera: „Hello you two! I’m happy to see you here! Please listen: This is Emmie, my mother.” Tara: „But I thought…you said..your mother’s dead?” „Yes, exactly. So it is. But she’s my newe mother.”
„New mother?” „My real mother’s dead but when I met Emmie a long time ago she was like a mother to me and so we said every time she’s my mother and I’m her son. She’s much better than my ,real’ mother. I like her.” Emmie smiles.
Till goes to Emmie: „Emmie, this are Jera and Tara.
And Tara…is my big love.” Tessa and Jera are shocked when they hear that. Emmie’s happy to hear this. Her son has a lover. „These are good news.” She says. But Jera is shocked. Till likes her sister more than herself? She becomes a bit said. Tessa: „It’s nice to hear that but we’ve not enough time.
We sould go to the pack. Fletscher becomes angry.” Till:
„Oh yes. The pack will be happy to see you again, Mama.”
„Oh no, my son. This is a bad idea. It’s better for me to stay in the forest. Far away from the pack and Fletscher.
Fletscher’s gonna kill me.” „B-but…the forest is dangerous…the…the men…” „I’ll find a safety place. We’ll meet us every day and I’ll teach you how to fight.” Tara: „She can go with us.” Emmie: „This is a well idea. And if you’re good enough at fighting, we go together to the pack and you’ll kill Fletscher.” „Killing? But I’m not able to kill someone.” #
„It’s necessary at Fletscher. He’ll never give up. I know.”
Tessa: „I think Emmie’s right. But now we’ve to hunt a deer.” Emmie: „A deer? But two Wolves aren’t able to hunt a deer. Only a pack is aible to hunt a big animal like that.” Tara: „But we are a pack! A little one but we are!” she smiles. So the five Wolves hunts a big deer. Emmie and Tessa are not so fast like the other Wolves because they’re the oldest of them. They’re going to become older. After a succesful hunt Till and Tessa are going back to the pack and Tara, Jera and Emmie are looking for a safety place for staying at night.
In the next morning Till and Tessa are allowed to leave the Packs Place because they‘ve to hunt again. But they’re meeting Emmie, Jera and Tara. Emmie wants to teach Till the first lesson. „Till, please show me your kind of fighting!” He runs to her and shows how he would bite her in the fur. She laughs a little bit: „Oh Till! This is no kind of battle! You’ve to knock over me and after doing that you should bite your enimy in the throat, okay?” At next time he knocks her over and shows how he would bite her in the throat. Emmie: „This was’nt bad for the first time. But you’ve still to learn. You’ve to be faster.
Your enemy musn’t be fast enough avert your attack. Please try again!” At next time he’s faster. Emmie’s falling in the creamy powder snow so it doesn’t hurt her. After some efforts he’s fast enough and he’s aible to surprise the adversary. But they’ve to stop the lesson because Fletscher musn’t notice where the both Wolves really are. Emmie and the two she-Wolves are going to their den. When Jera sees a unknown animal she jumps to it and tries to catch it because it could be prey. Emmie wanted to warn her but she was too fast. She yowls when she touches the hedgehog. Emmie: „Oh no…you two have still much to learn…”
Jera: „What’s this for a silly thing? (Yowl).” Tara: „Emmie, can we have a talk together, we both?” „Yes, why not?” They go some steps away and place themselves on a foundling.
Tara: „Emmie, please tell me something about Till.” „What do you want to hear?” „All what’s important. How did you met him the first time?” „When I found him he was hurt by a bear.
I brought him to our pack and I learned to love him like my own son.” „And what are his attributes?” „Oh…I think, if you want to get to know him, you should find it out yourself.
It’s not friendly to talk about him if he isn’t here. If you want to have a fair relationship you should aks him.” She friendly smiles to her. Tara sighs quiet „Okay…”
Some days later Emmie and Till met themselves without Tara, Jera and Tessa. Till: „Where’re Tara and Jera?” „I want to met you alone, my son.” „And what’s the reason?” „I’ve to talk to you.” „So okay, what’s the metter?” She begins low and with a friendly sounding voice, the voice of a mother who speaks to her son. „Till, you’re an adult, strong Wolf and you’ve a great job to do.” „Strong…? Adult…...” „Let me finish! You’ll be my son for all time. But you’re not longer a callow, young Wolf. You’ll have an important experience. You don’t fight for me or for other Wolves around you. The first thing is you’ll do it for you. You’ve to test what you’re able to do. And I know, you’ll do the job.” „And..what if…” „No Till. Look positiv, there’s no other way. I know you are able to do it and you gonna do it. And if you’ve hit Fletscher, you’ll be the new leader of the pack.” He’s shocked: „Me?” „Yes, my dear Till. You.”
„B-b-but…but…” „Of course I’ll help you. Because being a leader is more than only being the chief. You’ve also charge. I’ll help you with my experiences. All I know and all I know from Jeffer. He was the best leader I know.” „But not better than you.
The pack loves you.” „We had both our forces and failings.
I wouldn’t say that Jeffer would agree with you as leader but I do. And my opinion is also an important one as former leader.” „But why won’t you be still a leader?” „Because I’m too old, Till.” „No!” he says shocked: „You aren’t old!” „Oh yes Till, I am. And the pack needs, after the terrible time by flewing from the people and after Fletscher a new, strong and young leader for the future. And I think there’s no one who could do this job better than you, the son of a leader who was loved of the pack…I think because I did a well job, didn’t I?” Till’s quiet because it sounds to become a hard time. And he was shocked when Emmie said she’s old. He won’t that Emmie becomes old. He wants to have a deathless mother. Emmie: „And now…let’s train fighting! Tomorrow is your day.” „Tomorrow yet?”
„Yes, Till. You’re able to fight tomorrow yet.” Till has to show how to knock over and like he would bite in her through.
He knocks her very hard over and she’s falling on the floor very hard. Till runs to her and asks worried: „Oh sorry…I was to hard. All okay?”

She stands up: „Yes…I’m fine, thanks.
As I said…I become old…” Till’s sad. After training some minutes Emmie says to him how the next day will be.
Emmie, Jera and Tara come to the near of the pack and Till and Tessa greets them there. Till has much fear. Fear that Fletscher’s gonna try to kill ,his’ Emmie.
But Emmie’s sure: Till will do it right.
When Emmie, Jera and Tara arrive to Till and Tessa, Tills fear is going more. Emmie smiles frendly and kuddles him. „Did you see the moon yesterday? It spends power.” „Yes, I saw it.”
„Me too. So we both looked up to the moon and I thought for you. It gave me a good feeling. Let’s go now…the pack wants to be free of it!” Till and Tessa didn’t tell the pack of Emmies coming-back because one of them could say it to Fletscher.
And Fletscher had tried to find Emmie and to kill her.
When Emmie comes to the Packs Place some Wolves call her surprised: „Emmie? Emmie!” She’s happy to see the pack again. After over two years. When Fletscher, who is in the cave, hears Emmies name, he comes out and bawls angry to the pack, without seeing Emmie who’s standing behind him:
„Who said this name?” Nobody answers. Emmie looks very angry to Fletscher. The murderer of her lover. When Fletscher notices the direction of their looks he turn his head back and is shocked when he sees her. She’s still alive! „No!” Till growls. Fletscher runs to Emmie and wants to attack her but Till jumps to him and bites him in the cervix. Fletscher bites him, too.
The battle begins. One of the Wolves runs happy to Emmie: „Emmie! You’re alive!” „Yes, I am. But please let’s now watch this battle. It’s important for the whole pack!” Till knocks him over but he’s fast in standing-up. He bites Till bloody.
Red blood on his white fur. But Till becomes angry. He thinks for Emmie, for Tara. They want to be together in the pack.
And he, Fletscher, wants to kill them, tho Wolves who’re so important for Till. That makes Till angry. He careers him on the floor and bites him in the throat. Fletscher becomes more weak. He’s not so young like Till. But he’s very good at fighting. Fletscher cannot stand up again. Till bites too hard. The pack watches the battle with precise looks. They hope Till wins.
After some minutes Fletscher doesn’t move. Till goes one step away and watches Fletscher. Then he turns his look to the pack and says lucky: „He’s dead! You’re free!” All Wolves are happy about this news. Suddenly Emmie wants to warn Till but too late, Fletscher jumps up and bites Till in the throath after knocking over him. Till’s surprised, they all thought Fletscher’s death. But he isn’t. Till cannot stand up. He’s caught. It’s Tills battle. Although Emmie can’t let Till die. She runs to Fletscher and bites him in his flank. This pain was too hard for him and he stopped biting Till for some seconds. Now he’s more angry to Emmie and knocks her over, wants to bite her in the cervix. But Till stands up at once and attacks Fletscher one more time. This time Fletscher’s too weak of fighting. Till’s young and strong, has enough power. Tills anger is to much at Fletscher because he attacked Tills dear mother. So Till has enough power to keep him down. He bites him in the cervix and after some seconds Fletscher doesn’t move. Till waits…the pack is quiet and watches the end of the battle. Some minutes later Fletscher’s still stock-still. Till is sure: he’s death. Finally!
Now the pack is free of the tyrann! All the Wolves are happy howling for the champion. Also Emmie is very proud of Till.
The pack is glad to have Emmie back. She’s alive! Then a familiar voice asks Emmie, behind her: „Are you our mother?” She turns back and sees a big, black Wolf. She stopps breathing. „Yes…I am, Luc!” she answers quiet. She’s happy about seeing her son again. For some minutes they’re watching them quiet. Emmie: „It’s so nice to see you, Luc! And..tell me, where’s your sister?” Suddenly Jolie comes to the meet of mother and son. She stands besides her brother and looks to her mother. Her face looks shocked. Emmie: „Hello…Jolie.
I’m your mother. I’m back to the pack.” She says and smiles friendly. Jolie looks still shocked: „You…? But…but I thought…you’re dead.” „I know. The whole pack belived it. Fletscher tried to kill me but I survived. And now I’m back.” She still smiles. Luc also does. But Jolie not. When Emmie sees she doesn’t look happy she stopps smiling. What’s about her? Suddenly Jolie turns back and runs away. Luc is shocked: „Jolie?!” Emmie: „It’s okay! We should let her in peace now. She doesn’t mean it bad. It’s a new situation for you all. I think Jeffer would be proud of you!”
In the night all Wolves, out of Jolie, are sitting in a cirlce on a big stone and the fullmoon is shining. The want to do an obsequies for the lost pack members. It’s hard for Emmie to sit there for a long time because she’s not so strong…she’s going older. Like Tessa, too. Till starts: „First we lost Joff. Emmie…mother, you were in the near when he died. Please say something about his last moments.” She thinks… „What should I tell? I think he didn’t mean it bad to me. It was the rabies.
I forgive him, of course. He was Karlssons best friend.”
Till speaks for the next one: „Also very sad the death of our all friend and Jeffers best friend Kasi. Kasi…you safed my life.
I’ll never forget what you’ve done for me. And you were so nice to all members of the pack. Thank you for all. It was so terrible to loose you.” Some Wolves of the pack start to cry quiet.
All Wolves of the pack liked Kasi. He was at every time friendly, helped everyone and gave happyness to all of them. Till: „The next one we lost was our leader Jeffer. I…I know Jeffer wasn’t a bad Wolf. I don’t know why we had a bad connection. But I know he was very important for the pack and gave every day all his power to lead the Wolves safety through the danger. Emmie, please tell us something about him. You know him best.” Emmie becomes very sad. She thinks…then she stutters:
„Jeffer wasn’t only a well leader…he was also the best lover I can imagine. He was the second part of me and showed me so many important things of life…I’ll never forget what he has done for me. Thank you…my dear Jeffer.” She begins to howl. Quiet…then louder in the night, to the fullmoon. And the whole pack so does too. It’s a sad howling. But this obsequies was very important for all of them.
In the second part of the year one day Emmie lays in the second cave, some steps away from the Packs Place.
Till worries about her. He goes to her and asks the tired she-Wolf: „Mama…are you fine? You look so tired the last days. What’s up with you?” She looks to him and says quiet but very firendly: „Yes, my son…my days are gone. My life…!” he looks shocked: „…is going to have an end!” He’s sad and says agitated: „B-but…Mama…Emmie…you…you cannot………die!”
„Of course…I can. And so I have to do, like all animals.
But don’t worry. You learned so much and you’re a well, young leader. The pack needs you…” „And I need YOU!” „No, you do not longer. My time…is over. I become too weak. I can’t still hunt and it’s hard for me to eat, because my power is gone. I’ve to give the place on earth for new Wolves. I’m so happy to had a life like this. I got to know Jeffer, Tessa, Kasi…you…and I’ve born two dear, sweet, little puppies and now there’re two aduld Wolves who can learn so many things from you.
Don’t leave them alone, Till! You’re their leader and…their big brother.” She winks to him. His look is going to be very sad. The farewell to his ,mother’ is so hard for him. Emmie has no fear about diing. She wants to find the forever peace. She lays her head on her paws and says: „Please…don’t be too sad and ask Luc, Jolie and Tessa to come here.” He nods and goes to the Packs Place. Emmies fur is beautiful like in her young days and her yellow eyes are shining like the eyes of a little puppy. She’s very tired. Some minutes later Till, Luc and Tessa come. Luc is worried. He knows his mother only for a short time.
He has so many questions to her…about Jeffer, about the old days…about the packs life. He goes to her and kuddels her fur: „But…mother. Why…I don’t understand…” „This is life…Luc.
It’s a pity that you never met your father. Where’s Jolie?”
After asking this question Jolie slowly comes to the place.
She has much timidity. But for a last time, she wants to see the she-Wolf who’s calling herself ,her mother’. All Wolves are quiet. Then Emmie speaks: „Jolie…my daughter. It’s so nice to see you.” „You…you weren’t here when I needed a mother.
Now you come here and say: ,my daughter’. This is absurd. And if you’re my mother…for me you aren’t. Not in my mind!” After saying that she walks away. Luc angry to her: „Jolie!
Stay here!” Emmie looks a bit sad: „It’s okay, Luc. She doesn’t mean it bad. She’s right. I’ve to accept it.” She smiles like she is able to do in this difficult situation. Emmie: „I think…the following night will be my last one.” She closes her eyes.
Till has to cry. Also Tessa is sad. She says to Emmie:
„We’ll never forget our best friend. My…best friend.”
Emmie smiles: „Please…take care on my children!” „Of course I’ll do.” Tessa goes back to the pack. Emmie: „Luc…please go to your sister. She needs you. I’m proud of you. You’re strong enough to understand that all. And your sister’s very beautiful. She’ll make it. You’ve to help her so long you live, okay.”
He answers sad: „Yes…I promise!” Emmie’s lucky to hear that. Luc walks back. Now Emmie and her big son are alone.
Emmie: „Please Till…spend all your power in being a well leader, a friend to all of your pack members. And be a well brother to Luc and Jolie. Help Tessa like she did it to you.
She’s also old and needs help. She’ll be the last one who knows the beginning of the pack. Listen to her prudent tips. And never give up! If you miss me, watch the moon.
You know…it spend power of life. And you’ll think for me.” Till is aible to smile a little bit. She’s right. Nothing helps more to remember in Emmie as the moon. Till’s kuddling her. Then he goes slowly…sad away. He doesn’t want to see her die. Emmie sighs. She lays her head again on her paws and watches the moon. It’s a beautiful feeling.
In the night, when the whole pack sleeps, Emmie’s still awake and watches the moon. She remembers in Jeffer and whispers: „Jeffer…my dear Jeffer.” After that she closes her eyes and breathes slowly out. She doesn’t any longer move. She’s fixed, looks only like sleeping. But she’s death.
She dropped of and died.
In the next morning Till wants to see what’s about his mother. He sees, she ,sleeps’. „Emmie? Weak up! It’s morning!”
She doesn’t weak up. He becomes afraid. „Emmie? Mama? What’s up to you?” No reaction. He lays his paw on her fur and shaks careful. „Emmie? Emmie!” He notice…she is dead.
„No! Please wake up! I need you!” But it doesn’t change anything. Emmie is dead and Till has to lead the pack with all she taught him.
He’s weeping. When he absorbed the first shock, he starts diging a tomb for his mother. The floor is very keen. After some minutes it’s ready. Time for the last good-bye. It’s terrible for him…she was a better mother to him than his real one. And no he has to bury her. He takes her tuft and abrade her body careful to the tomb. He places her like she’s still sleeping.
The terrible thing is to put dirty ground in her pretty body and to see how she’s vanishing. When the tomb is closed he howls for three times into the sunless sky. It’s a sad day. It starts snowing. The snow covers the dirty tomb like an open wound. Slowly walks Till back to the pack. He’ll all do like he learned from his mother. Emmie was his best example for life. Nobody knew everytime an answer…she was the only one in his life who never gave up. So he also won’t do it. His second part of life has started…no it’s his turn to help other Wolves like she did to him. He’ll never forget this beautiful she-Wolf.
