Now, I know there is a topic about how 'Mods dont know how to be mods'.. Well, no. Thats not what this is about. Its about the lack of mods, or the lack of mods who do their job. Wait, no. Better wording. Maybe they dont have the time. But I have noticed that there is a lack in BaltoSource lately. I noticed awhile back, but realized just now something.

It was more towards the Fan Fics, and when HydraPhalanx was a Fic mod, I think he did good. He read over every story before he allowed it on the site, and it was going along nicely. But then, he resigned. He was tired of reading it all. And I think, that the other fic mods just cant take the time to sit and read these fics. I know, we all have SOME sort of life. I sent in a fic three days ago, and its still not posted. I am kinda... well, stuck on that, but all well. I understood that it may take a day or two. But normally it is posted with in 24 hours of within posting it for a mod to check. Even my 42 word doc AWT story didn't take this long.

And then, we have fan images. I haven't really looked through them lately, but the mods are just posting whatever is sent it. Like, I have seen just screenshots with NOTHING done to them. I think the mods have done better, but I haven't checked lately. But still, I thought that was a bit annoying. But then again, I am here to find stupid little things like that.

I dont know, I think the mods on the forums do a good job. I dont really see any problems, but then again I dont watch everything on the forums. I am more of a site stalker myself. XD!..

Anyways, so more or less it would be nice to have another fan fic mod who can be on enough to get the job done. I am sure there are plenty of people, who have time to sit and read, on BaltoSource.

I've noticed that Jenna4ever hasn't been coming around,and now I'm getting a bit worried about him/her.

Last time I checked, he was a dood. ._. But I dont know. And yeah, I noticed too. Maybe he lost his internet or something?

But still. We need the mod factor to be up. =D

Mmmmm...There are alot of fanfics. Maybe the mods are having trouble with the amount of fanfics sent in. Well, I wouldn't know I'm not a mod. And like you stated above, they have real lives with their real friends and don't always have time to check fanfics. I hope this gets sorted out soon!

I think it's normal that fanfics take a few days to get posted. Think about it; that's an awful lot of reading to do. I'm guessing that it takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to read a fanfic, depending on the length, so it's understandable.
I don't see as many problems with fanfic mods as I do with some of the current fanart mods. Some of them are approving images that are easily recognizable (stolen art, stolen poses from movies/other artists) or are offensive. I won't name any names, but some people are posting art with messages saying that they hate someone on the site, the way something is done on the site, etc.

So, all in all, the fanart mods are plenty active but they're being too careless in my opinion. I don't mean to flame them though.

That is true Jack.They are overwhelmed with the work they have to do.

Humm...i do not know but maby...we need new mods that we know that come on here everyday. Or maby not i do not know.

I'll have to agree, in the Fan Art section people send drawings against the rules and they acctually get exepted. And it's okay to let slide in ounce, but now it seems as if they were allowing everything as long as it has some sort of animal in it, I requested and avatar change in my gallerie 3 times. Each time I waited a week and now still no kind of reply at all.
Then I saw this artist sending in several drawings ounce again against the rules I'm not a mod but it bothers me when this kind of thing happens so I told her nicely about it and I got nothing, I pmed a mod about it and yet again it was ignored.
So I'm just gonna stay like this and wait watch to see what's going on. anyways it's completly understandable that mods have their own life and sometimes slack off a bit maybe they had a bad day or something but it's becoming somewhat incompetent.

True Kari, I have seen quite a few drawings saying they hate someone. Actually, I saw one saying they hated you. :33.. And some fan art mod just let 'em post it. That is kinda careless. Good point.

And indeed, but not long ago it would be posted with in 24 hours of waiting for it to be checked. I know I seem pushy, but some of these fics aren't all that long. I know alot that are two pages or so on BaltoSource. And I know my Eight Below stories are only about a page, maybe a page and a quarter on the site.

And another thing would help, if people didn't send crap in expecting it to be put on the site. It would helpe if they read the rules, and wrote a nice Story. Alot of people do write good fics, but then again, I hear that alot of people send stuff WAY out of allowance.

Well, I don't send fanfics, so I really don't know how it used to be. XP But I'll take your word for it.
I could've been wrong. Maybe the fanfic mods just aren't as active as they used to be. I can name at least one that I haven't heard from in a long time.
Hiring more mods might help, but I think we might be flooded with mods as it is...

I only read a few of the fan fics, but I have noticed the same thing about the fanarts, with them saying they hate people and they want them to die.

Maybe we don't need mods, but people to volunteer to read stories & approve them, for example;

Chasity, I need you to read these fanfics and tell me if the content is suitable for the site;

A Wolf's Tail
Picking Out Maya
and so on..

Then I would read them and tell the mods what's suitable and what's not.

I'm just using me as an example, it could be anyone who's voluntering to do so....

She used my stories. 8D... Anyways.

I just thought of something. How there hasn't been anyone to change our gallery pictures. Because about a month or so ago I sent one in.. and it STILL hasn't been done. I think we need to get ANOTHER one, who can do it. ><.. This would be the third one I think?..

But yeah, I just recently noticed while going through fan images. Because I was thinking 'I want to change my gallery entrance photo'.. And yeah. So thats another thing I thought of.

And about the volunteer thing.. I dont know. Maybe SOME people would be suitable, but alot of people on here (who are 9, 10, 11, & such. No offence) are not capable of things such as so. XD

Hey maya i would like to do that im bored most of the time on this site trying to figure out things to do. For the age im 15 i would love to help be a fanart mod!
