Are there any browncoats out there on this website, besides me? For those of you who don't know what Firefly or Serenity is, you need to find out 'cause they're the best ever! Okay, just to fill you guys in: Firefly was a TV series on FOX but was canceled and only one season was made. Now, I know what you're thinking by now: "Canceled and still on the first season? Wow, that must've been a crappy TV series!" Well, you're WRONG! FOX canceled it because most (Not all, MOST) people who watch FOX only want to see the shows where there's sex, and men and women wearing underwear that they call 'clothes'.
Okay, anyway, Firefly takes place in the future in outer space. There are no aliens, just spaceships and different planets and people; that's it, no aliens. Oh, and pretty much the two native languages to every human being is English and Chinese; so all the cursing in the series is in Chinese; which I think is pretty cool. Here' re the main characters:
Captain Malcom Reynalds (I really hoped I spelled his name right): An ex-sergant from the war between the Independece and Alliance. Now he's the captain of the firefly ship named Serenity, and is the leader of a small group of thieves.
Zoe: A military friend of Malcom's and now a fellow thief. She's good at shootin' people when she needs to and will not hesitate in shooting you. You wnat proof? Watch the episode called 'The Message.' and you'll see Zoe shoot a man who was a friend of her's and Malcom's, without blinking. Oh, plus Zoe is married to Wash, the pilot of Serenity.
Wash: The best pilot in the 'verse who plays with plastic toy dinosaurs. The basic comedian of the crew, Wash knows how to out-fly even an Alliance ship (I might be exaggerating). He loves his wife, Zoe, and as my dad says, "He keeps himself sane by playing with those dinosuars."
Kaylee: Serenity's engineer, and man is she good at it! In the episode 'Out of Gas.' she took one little look at Serenity's engine and knew exactly what was wrong with it; and the creepy thing is that she'd never even been on a firefly class ship before in her life! Though when it comes to fights, she freezes up sometimes, but if Simmon (her crush) gives her some 'encouragement' she'll kill anything that's trying to kill her. Part of Mal's group of thieves.
Jayne: Don't let the name fool you. Jayne is big, Jayne is tough, Jayne is stupid, and Jayne is NOT a girl; Jayne's a guy. To describe Jayne....well let's just go with what Simmon says about Jayne: "You're like a trained gorilla except...without the training." there you have it. Jayne is all brawn and pretty much no brains; but he loves his Momma and is not afraid of anything, and you'll find that out when you see him wear his 'cunning' hat that his mother made for him. PArt of Mal's group of thieves.
Anara(hope I spelled her name right too XP): Everyone know what a Companion is? Well, for those of you who don't, it's basically a more higher ranking *****. That's what Anara's career is, being a *****. She doesn't 'give service' to Mal or his shipmates, since she lives in a shuttle that is part of Serenity, but she just travels with them and looks for work on the planets that the crew goes to. She's no thief, but she does have a crush on Mal, and everyone can tell he does...just not the captain himself...-_-....
Sheperd Book: Preacher! Book is a preacher. He has a 'secret' past relationship with the Alliance, and he sometimes participates in Mal's thievery jobs; but he still follows the ways of God and sometimes tries to convert Mal, though he always fails. Another way to remember Book is that he always keeps his hair tied back into a short ponytail...though when he takes the ponytail out, take out a picture of Einstein and see how alike their hairstyle is. Of course, River is afraid of all the hair since, "His brain is in danger of collapsing."
Simon: The only well trained medic on Serenity. The boy was at the top of classes and was the highest ranking doctor in the most best Alliance hospital in the Central Citites. Now to be that good, you'd have to be really really really really really really really rally smart. But he's not the smartest person on the ship; the only one smarter than him is his little sister, River. It is very rare for Simon to help Mal and his teammates on thievery missions, since he needs to make sure River doesn't go psycho on everyone. He's just there to stay away from the Goream Feds and to heal up anyone who gets hurt, since he and his sister are fugitives.
River: This girl is so smart that she makes her brother look like a stupid child. This girl is so smart that she started corecting Simon's spelling when she was 3 YEARS OLD! Talk about baby-genius. Everything comes naturally to her, but there's one problem: The Alliance took something out of her brain, the thing where we all store our emotions in the back of our head, yeah the Alliance took that out of River. So the girl goes all psycho at random points. Plus the girl is a psychic because of that. And she can shoot three people in the head with three bullets (one for each person) with her eyes closed while looking away. Well, that's just morbid and creepifying now ain't it?
Okay so those are the main characters in Firefly and Serenity but it's really funny. I'll stop talking now so that you have more time to read and reply. Plus, I'm tired. Bye-byez.

I love the series a lot, but I I loved the movie more. Either way both the series and the movie was amazing. It shouldn't have gotten canceled.
