It can be, but it depends if its people you don't really know spreading rumours or friends. If its friends it is usually for a laugh, me, my friends Bidolf, ABB and Will spread a rumour our friend Casper was going out for a girl just because they hated each other, but it was just for laughs.

It hardly ever happens to me. I have friends who are girls but i'm normally quite shy around them so I seriously doubt people would think i'm dating them. Besides, I think it would be best for me to find a girl with Asperger's Syndrome who can relate to me and my odd behaviors.

Yes! It is happening to me now with my best guy friend! But his other best friend ids my boyfriend, so they're like. "Eric! Casey's cheating on you!" And then it gets into this whole big mess that I don't care to explain about.

The story has had different variations, some with me, some with my twin, because all three of us hang out.

It does... I mean, I'm not in that kind of a relationship with a girl, (I used to be) and it was really stupid when a friend of mine made a comment saying that a guy and a girl can't be "Just friends". It's so stupid... especially since that friend of mine hasn't had a girlfriend in his life...

It's never happened to me yet. I really don't talk to guys at all at school. (none of them are worth talking to and risk having them be a total jerk like the last 3 I've been 'friends' with) But since I DON'T talk to pretty much any guys at my school people say.. other things that I'm guessing you all pretty much know what.

Ugh yes, it's happening to me this year. I have a guy friend that I talk to and hang out with sometimes, and now people think we're dating or something. Why people automatically think that when two of the opposite gender hang out, that it means they're dating is beyond me and irritating.

YES. I'm good friends with this one guy, we often hang out and walk to class, etc. But everyone asks him if we're going out. What's werird is that it's just him, and not my other guy friends, who I hang out with also. It's so weird, because I don't like him like THAT.

Yes, it does. Especially if your best same-gender friend likes your best opposite-gender friend, and then there's rumors about you going out with your best opposite-gender friend. Confusing, isn't it? @_@

It's happened to me and my friend Hannah, and my friend Andy and Caylin. But those two fought like they we're married.

It used to bug me alot, but now I just go along with it. If somebody says 'OMG [insert-my-name-here] is going out with [insert-one-of-my-guy-friends-names-here]'

I'll just say, 'Yeah..so, got a problem' or something.

Nobody really does that anymore, though.

That happens to me a lot because I have a TON more guy friends then girl friends. so every one's like hee hee (My name) is going out with (guys' name) I just shrug and say
"So what if we are? what ya gonna do?"
