Here's an idea I thought of a while ago and finally decided to write it up. I want to see what you all think of this idea

Well, I thought, about Fan art of the week, maybe the members could decide? What would happen, is the mods would chose say 3 pictures or more, that they think would be a good Fan art of the week and post it on the forums every week with a poll. The members would chose which pic they like best, and the one with the most votes would become Fan Art of the Week.

I know this could turn out bad, but it could turn out really well. Maybe make the topics locked and a sticky that the fan art mods or Steet would go to everyweek and edit with a new poll, and you could only vote on the poll and not comment so there was no flame wars.
What do you think?

This could work, the only problem is that it would be long to do this.
I know I couldn't do it myself every week. I don't know about the other fanart mods.
I thought of being able to favorite pictures, the same way you favorite galleries. This way, the fanart of the week could be chosen "automatically" (the biggest number of favorites). But it will be very long to add such a system too. I suppose I'll do it one day though...

That's exactly the first thought that came to my mind when I read this topic.

I think it could work out if we started a sort of voting system as soon as the week begins, and whichever picture got the most votes by the end of the week earns the spot. But another downside is that there are so many galleries and the votes would be very dispersed. Most people would probably vote for just their friends on just their favorite artists, which would make it generally unfair.

I allways thought it was a good idea, I have think it would be alto more fun.

Well, there are a lot of fan art mods, one could do this every week. But I know there could be some problems in here. Maybe it's just to difficult. But your idea Steet, about the favs on pictures, sounds good.

I have an Idea how about you are allowed to vote for say a week or two an then the picture that wins gets to stay up for a week that way there is a lot more time for people to vote but also for people to appreciate the winning pic
