i got a question for those who watched this film why did the aliens die on their own? opinon: i thought this movie was great except the ending it stinked

I totally agree, they died because they didn't have immune systems so when they drank the water and ate the food, their body got sick from it. I think the beggining of the movie was so good, "Thats wierd, the winds going towards the storm." and then the tripod's come out, they turn people to fertelizer. It was good all the way till they started running away with the car, and then everything esle was just... blah.

I thought it was pretty good. My friend said that it followed the major plot points of the book aside from it being placed in today instead of being in the 1800's. She also said the ending was just about the same as in the book, very abrupt.

I agree with the messed up parts, for one, if all electronics are off, then how was there a guy with a video camera recording the machines, and two, why did they start capturing the humans after zapping them? It doesn't make sence.

I still think the acting and effects is good, though:

Well, the first question your right about, but, IMO, that start to zap people first to see if they can defend themselves so that they can later decide whether they can start capturing them or not. Seeing that the people didn't defend themselves for a good while, that's when they decided to take people.

I saw it a few days ago, and I thought it was okay. I agree, there were some weird things in it...but otherwise it was good. But close ot the end, where they had the part with the alien just randomly opening it's mouth before it died, I thought that that was kind of funny. Aliens in most movies almost always look the same, as did that one.

I don't know much about EMPs, but I think they don't effect electronics that are off. cell phones, digital cameras, and such are often still using electricity for things like internal clocks. Camcorders can have the battery completely removed from the device.

my guess about the reasons the tripods vaped the people then started harvesting them is to instill fear and show that resistance is futile.

I understand the capturing, but if a watch was off, and that has an eternal clock, then how would a camcorder work? But i think you just had to fix some stuff, cuz remember how that mechanic just replaced the one transmission or something, and the car worked? I thought the movie was ok, but imagine if it was actually happening now. I mean, wait, wait wai...-computers shut off-

I saw posters and ads for it all over France and I was all... Must go home ans see it... MUST!!! 0_0
I just got back from the theater. I just seemed a bit cheesy.. It wasen't scarry enough for me! But I do reccomend going.
