Okay I wanted to ask you who do you like more? I want to say a few things about why I love Sonic and dislike Mario.

Firstly let me just say when Mario came out I loved it, it was fun and enjoyable on the game boy. But the main problem is that going from Game Boy to Nintendo Gaamecube it has barely changed. The majority of Mario games are about the Princess being kidnapped and having to save her. Plus Mario has no actual intresting qualities he is a fat man with a bad moustache who jumps on enemies a lot, that was fine for Gameboy but it gets a bit old, quite fast. True Mario games are popular, but so was Pokemon which I never liked. With sonic however even when it was 2-D it was unlike other games, it was fast, quite tough and new, fresh and unique characters. Also thougn Doctor Eggman is usually the main bad guy, there are in depth plots and have new enemies such as Chaos, Metropolis, Shadow and many more. Another pointer is the style. I just find that Sonic has more style then Mario. I mean even the way Mario runs looks like any second he is about to fall down dead.
I want to make clear that you must give proper reasons for why you prefer sonic or mario, none of the following:

I HATE YOU, MARIO KICKS BUTT!!!!!!!!!!

I want reasons and try and not get it personal, I started my reasons, please state yours. Who do you prefer?

(Side Note: As far as I know Marios latest game is on Wii, where as Sonic has a new game on Xbox360 and PS3 and a whole new game on Wii, two games to one, on three platforms to one.)

Mario used to be cool, but thanks to gamcube they killed mario and over did it so now only the classic mario is the only good one, any new mario games automaticly suck from then on..... too bad it's really a shame to see there game that made them what they were distroyed before our very eyes, it reminds me of the south park episode where gourge lucas and steven speilburg kill all there movies and remake them to crap, exactly the same, it's disgusting.....

Sonic is awesome, sonic did awesome right from the begining, he was not over killed and to see him back for PS3 and Xbox 360 is awesome, to see the characters many people know and love back, not only that, there is a sonic movie coming out too which is another bonuse besides the TV show^^ SONIC RULES!!!!!!!!!

A Sonic movie? Well I did not know about that, where did you hear that? I know there was one before in 1998 if I remember right, it was good for its time as well.

I pick Mario by virtue of superior technology, but it would be an awesome clash of titans that would be ranked among the greatest battles of our time.

I pick Mario becuase

His gamplay is always solid
His stories dont sound like Fanfics
Millions of stupid characters arent added at the rate sonics are
Mario was always good
Sonic games have al but sucked except for the 2-D ones.

Marios storylines are always as basic as can be
As for gameplay what do you mean by solid
Millions is a bit much and the term stupid should only be used if giving reasons.
Stating Mario was always good needs back up other wise it makes no sense
And your last statement is what I said not to be allowed here, so you have given no or little proof.

But they arent stupid like the new sonic's or any of the Adventures..which are like fanfics

Gameplay is almost ALWAYs good..since Sonic Adventure 2 the controls have gotten more clunky..mario I have never had issues with.

Just look at the series...the only characters that should be there are Sonic, Tails, Robotnik, Knuckles. Given Mario has a few..but the ones in sonic are downright pointless and are filler for nothing.

Actually I gave alot of it, After Adventure 2 all the games have been terrible..with the exception of DS games.

Okay Jack listen up and listen well, you are bing too agressive, this is a discussion, not a trash the other game like no tomorrow, so unless you cut it out, I am reporting you, calling something stupid, is not what I personally feel this forum is about, so either shape up or ship out.

I'm giving my honest opinion....Since when should somoene be penalized for giving their true and honest opinion...And I'm not breaking any rules so why would I be reported? You asked for reasons why I don't like Sonic..I gave you them, and I was not being aggressive...at all. You however we pretty hostile towards my opinion...

No Jack, calling something stupid is not something that I approve of, if you cannot talk about this without saying Sonic sucks or its stupid, then do not contribute, so your options are post without posting such comments or do not post at all.

This is a Vs thread..so you have to say why you chose one over the other. And I was speaking of the storylines...and Sonics are pretty poorly written.
