Emm, I don't know if that is true or not. I have not heard of it anywhere, but you could be right. I would have to do some research on that Torchwood

Torchwood, always be cautious of stuff in books or the internet where sources are not quoted (research materials, etc.). I never use anything I see in a book or on a web page unless there are sources listed.
The race to determine the fastest dogs for the team, pictured in Balto 1, did not really occur. At least, there is no evidence of it, and no mention of it by any participant, Nome citizen, or historical document.
It is awesome that you wanted to participate here and post some effort you made to find some info, but I just thought you should know this.
Please keep trying!

Yea, BaltoSeppala is right! It was worth the though Torchwood And you should try again! But for an example to back you up there Seppala, is the latest topic on that un-truthful Balto book which mentioned all kinds of rubbish.

Thanks, Highland! Well, I found another post by Torchwood, after I posted here, in which he/she was upset with those who criticized that book. I think he/she overreacted...people who criticized that book have some very solid reasons for doing so. So right now, I'd like to hear more from Torchwood on THAT before anything else, because I'm rather disappointed in the way he/she reacted.
OFF-TOPIC NOTE: I hate gender-neutral member names, and when members hide their gender. It's irritating to have to either repeatedly use the member's name (which can be a little excessive, and grammatically bad), or "he/she". And I certainly don't want to use "it".

Ah yes, I think i scanned through that one, but didn't find time to read Torchwood's post. Well, the book was right to be criticized, it was full of awful information which I am appaled by, but I will let you make your stand BaltoSeppala

Done and done. I'm very disappointed about this, because this may be the first time, since I've been made a forum section mod, that I've had to lock a topic. Because I don't like to lock topics without VERY GOOD CAUSE. And, to date, I've had none. Until this. With two requests, I will now do it.
