Hmm.. I can see this topic being locked. People flame on topics like this. Firework display.

But yes, wolves are incredibly stereo-typed in movies. Werewolf movies strike fear into people whilst movies where wolves stalk and attack people give them a bad name. But, that's movies - gotta have some villan.

Well, unfortunately wolves have been feared for a very long time along with other "evil" animals...

DANG... yes... and again I'm going to make me hated for a statement of truth:

Yes... wolves are killers. They are killers just like any predator is... if they wouldn't be killers, they simply wouldn't survive.

As usual the question is: aren't humans killers too?

Wolves aren't killers of humans. They are mainly killers of deer, moose, and other animals. They don't aften kill humans.

If you stay away from wolves, then their is no reason for them to attack you.
Wolves are more afraid of us then we are of them. They only attck humans when they know or feel threatened.

Wolves would never attack a human just because.

Wolfs kill for food, or if they feel their life, or their pups lifes are in danger.

So while a wolf will not attack you unless it has a sickness if you go trying to mess with it expect what would happen with any other animal.

Well, wolves are dangerous - they are wild animals - but unless provoked they won't attack. Like with humans. But humans are certainly much greater killers than wolves.

Wolves kill the weakest of the herd, the sick. We humans would kill all the lambs in a flock for meat to stock supermarkets.

No that isn't all completely true. Most humans fear wolves without exception. But, yes wolves usually do fear humans or are "shy".

And Baltosepella---) Yes, I agree. This topic most likely go into flame but, if people stay mature and use intelligent arguemental discussion it shouldn't be too bad.

Nobody actually knows who is more afraid. I'm afraid of wolves. I wouldn't go near one.

Yes - They are killers. They kill other animals in order to survive.

Most people think they only kill the hurt and sick, but they actually kill whatever is easiest to get at. If there was a well one, and it would be easy to catch, do you think they would leave it because it's well? Or kill it because it's food? Kill it.

But like Kovu said, humans are killers too.

And I doubt that a wolf would attack a human for no reason, but there has been a case where a wolf attacked a human before.

Wolves do not I repeat DO NOT turn into killers they are actually more adult then us humans people will abandoned they're children for stupid reasons such as gender and wolves take them in not abaondoning them and care for them even when they're old enough to fend for themselves
they do kill but only to survive they didn't turn into ruthless killers who kill as a "sport" or for "fun"

Hm, I have some sort of feeling this will turn into a war, but give some credit to people. We are all humans, and there is alot of us who haven't killed. I never killed a human, nor an animal. Am I a killer? No, I am not. =) So, enough of this 'Humans are horrible, not mature, and wolves are more adult than humans.' Because, there is alot of mature people in this world. Just alot of killers, retarted, and sick people aswell.

But yeah, wolves -are- killers and there has been HEALTHY wolves attacking a lady. Which is why alot of the people who deals with wolves must be careful, and yes, I read of a wolfdog killing a young one before. (They were left in the backyard together, which is stupid on the parent's part.)

All I gotta say. ;D
