 Post subject: Overly-analytical, hate/love topics in the movie folders
PostPosted: Sun Dec 03, 2006 3:52 pm

*Said more or less in the style of the topics I'm complaining about*

Did you ever notice how there are a rather abundant amount of overly-analytical topics in the Balto 1, 2 and 3 folders? Topics which try to analyze the various scenes (and characters) of the movies in terms of real-world physics, animals and people? And places and things? Ewwwwwwww-WHY?! How many times must one person (sometimes ME) have to go in and bring these people back down to earth, and remind them that they're trying to assign real-world dynamics and characteristics (and physical laws) to cartoons?? I understand that people like to talk about that stuff...but they do it for the wrong reasons. They seem to be fixated on WHY the production people DID those things they're "waxing" analytical about. Don't we all understand by now that Hollywood is the very home of "poetic (and dramatic) license"? Hmmmmmm?

And how about those who ask you whether you love or hate certain characters, scenes, or the movies themselves?? Again..."Ewwwwwwww-WHY?! Why does it always have to be so black-and-white? Why does it HAVE to be "love" or "hate"? And who CARES?

GAH!! Some people come up with the dumbest reasons to take up space on the boards...(okay...in my opinion...) :roll:

I think what is a pain are the topics that are very very basic, "Do you love ------ or hate -----???". Why can't people vary there topics, example:

"What do you think of ------?" Keyword think.

Agreed. These people can't think of anything else that is even more interesting than "Ooh, do you love/hate "blah-blah-blah"?"

-__-;

Besides, there's probably another topic exactly like it that has (most likely) already been banned, due to near-war on other's opinions on certain characters.

Who cares?

If someone doesn't like a character, that's fine. If they do like a character, that's fine too. But if you start arguing over why someone doesn't like a character the way you like him/her, there's no point in talking! Gah.

Sometimes the stupidity of some people scares me.

I'm glad you agree! :) It is true that people abuse the site by making these types of topics so, might as well let them know they're irritating! :lol: Good topic sep! :wink:
