Ugh... ice storm freezes practically everything, including power lines, cutting off power to tons of people all accross the midwest. Yeah, my power was out yesterday, so that's why I wasn't on then. Heck, it was so bad that the governor of Missouri declared a state of emergency and he's got the Missouri National Guard's engenieers going around helping restore power (It was even on national news, that storm). Sure we lost power back in June, but losing power is worse when it's below freezing... I'm fine, actually. Power just came back on around 9:00 AM today, but I was staying at my grandparent's house which had power, but unfortunately no wireless internet... Well, I'm back on, so don't be worrying about me. I'm fine.

Yeah, I'm sure that's the case. Some people still don't have power, and they might not for a number of days (seven at the most... I was lucky)
Usually, it takes a long time for power to come back on for houses because this is the order in which they try to restore power:

1. Power lines to the power generators and the transformers at the power plants

2. restore power to hospitials

3. Restore power to anything else that doesn't have power.

Welcome back Swords. There's not much of a problem with power where I live since we haven't gotten any winter weather yet. Hopefully we won't for awhile. I want to be able to be online during Christmas break.

Sometimes I lose Internet connections,whenever there's a power surge,and it's great to have you back buddy.

Oh, man this reminds me of the huge ice storm we had in Kentucky a couple years ago. We didn't have power for 3 days!!! Anyway, glad you have power again.

yeah, things remain pretty quiet on the east coast (at least, here in NJ, apart from some high winds last week, and some rain).

Glad to see you dug out from under it! I know you guys out in the midwest are getting slammed. It's all over the news...

We dont get snow. But we get ice. A storm like the one you had would devistate us, as the chance of snow shuts down the entire state

we get snow every decade or so down in New Orleans but any way glad you okay Swords!

Up here we had terrible high winds all night.

We don't have so many snowstorms over here,basically the Temperatures aren't that low which may cause storms.So it's a small risk for me to lose connection.

Normal thunder storms used to,unless the lighting hits the place of my Internet provider...
