Okey, I LOVE Balto! Don`t get me wrong but after making all the crappy sequels(excuse my french) I really think that they should make a remake. more preferably I make a rmeake(with a team of proffisiansl so i don`t flush myself down the toilet) anyways, after readings numerous things about the history of the epidemic and balto i`ve decided that numerous facts were basically set a fire in balto. for example, Togo, a siberean husky, greatly helped in the epidemic and his story was awesome to read. in fact togo`s owner argued that togo, not balto, deserved to have a statue because he went threw the most difficult part of the jurney and in watsed little time. balto was supposily a hybrid but there slittle evidence to back it up. further more he was an alaskan malumute, black with one white paw and (blue?or brown?) eyes. obviously he was not the fastest dog, togo was! balto was a bit more stocky and worked pulling in the mines for a bit before his post days. balto and togo were not very well honoured in their deaths, ablto was sold to a run down circus later in life but died in a happy ending at supposily 13 years old(although now some say he was 16!) at...whats it called!?! can`t rember but a zoo where he and his team mates(who lived) would give small children rides.

Togo should of got more credit for what he did he did travel more than balto. They should make better sequels at least for the 2nd film but they won't do it all they will probably do is re release it.

No chance of a remake. At least not from Universal. I think no one would want a remake of Balto with an animation like the sequels?
Well, maybe another company one day will make another animated film on this story, probably in 3D, but I doubt it.
The thing I would want them to do, is restore the film as Disney did for some of their (such as Aladdin), and to make a Special Edition DVD.

I wouldn't mind a special edition either. Oh something just crossed my mind...Wasn't Balto released in theatres on Decemeber 22nd, 1995? Well maybe this year theyll have something for a 10th year anniversary...U never know...

Yes, we already said that not long ago, but I doubt Universal will do anything special...

They says they changed Togo into Balto is just because Balto is younger than Togo and had a very sweet name, but I think Togo is better than Balto.Animated movies are always not have an old hero, always about the growing of youn ones.
Remake?I don't think they'll do this,as you told Balto series is not famous and can't make much money for them.

Balto was a pure bred Siberian Husky. Togo was a championship lead dog, his owner was the most famous musher in Alaska, infact he owned most of the dogs that did the relay including Balto.

Balto was the opposite of Togo, he was known as a scrub dog, that means that he was not considered a good dog for racing, he was used for slower work such as taking supplies up to the mines.

With this in mind who achieved the greater feat? Togo did long fast miles that he was used to and trained to do which left him lame after, or was it Balto who had to prove himself, who managed to navigate the whole team from a point he didn't know through a blizzard which his musher couldn't see through and admitted to having to trust Balto's direction. 54 miles seems a lot when it is a whiteout and you can't even see your own lead dog!

Balto lived to 13 and died in Cleveland Zoo and is now in Cleveland Natural History Museum. Togo is also on display in Wasilla at the Sleddog Center I believe.

Balto had a statue built in his image for Central Park, New York but the inscription of the statue is dedicated to ALL the dogs of the great race.
