yeah, it is not quite as powerful as teh PS2 is in terms of RAM-CPU-GPU bandwith, but the Processor is faster. If only the graphics supported hi-def.... oh well.

Power means nothing when it runs smoothly and looks better. Its how you use the power you have...not how much of it you have..I mean Ive seen games lag on systems that I think it was perfect dark..lags..but games like Gears of War dont..and gars of war is heavy on physics and textures.

Really? I read from several sources that the highest resolution is 480p, but mostly 480i. I have never seen a 720p or higher res, and we have a tv that supports up to 1080p. jack>>Actually, power does matter. games for teh gamecube, if it was possible to play on the N64, would lag like heck, and be terrible. I think they should have gone with an AMD AThlon Processor or a Intel Pentium M, or P4 instead of an IBM Power PC G3 based.

Okaaay, that looks like a bunch of jibberish, but I like the GameCube.

THe greatest deception..

thanks god i didnt buy it as the only good games thata arrived on this powerfull machine were from the company.. or were just remakes like the "twin snakes" (and even though it had better graphics it really sucked in some matters.. like voice dubbing.. they left out some soundtracks .. etc).

If you are a hardcore nintendo fan maybe you would have liked it.. but the lack of variety speaking about games.. really made this console lose the console war.
