This game looks very awesome! Its rated "T" for teen. Its for PS2, Xbox, and I think DS and Gameboy advance.

I have the PSP version; which consists of ALL dragon-riding levels. It can be very fun, but after a while, it loses its edge. Sure, you get to play as your own rider, and customize your dragon, but the challenges can be pretty confusing. As Kesp pointed out, the magic/spell-casting system is very awkward, but I suppose it'd fit considering I'm always on the dragon. There are *ABSOLUTELY NO* ground levels on this version. Playing as Saphira is cool, but I wouldn't mind trading wings for feet for a while.
...Oh, yeah..and the story mode...sucks. Limited cutscenes, it just tells you, and you basically read the entire story in a couple of sentences.
But I MUST SAY that the dragon-jumping feature is very cool...although most of the time, my dragon refuses to catch me. XP
Keso's right...this is a pretty average game. Don't expect it to be as good as the movie will be.
