This is one thing that has really started to annoy me and others as well. A lot of people have started treating mods very rudely, blaming us for everything from the bannment of themselves, to a topic getting locked that they started. I see it on the Banned Box all the time. Expecially from newly banned members that keep insisting they didn't do a thing wrong and then flame us when we tell them why they were. I didn't notice this till recently, but it has become a big problem.

NO FLAMING EACHOTHER. IF YOU WANT TO FLAME ME, THOUGH, TAKE IT TO THE PMS!

I'm not a mod, but I have noticed the behavior of certain members towards them. My question is, why all the hatred and brutal attacks? Balto Source used to be such a happy, friendly place. Now, it's as if savages have taken over. I can see mods are desperately trying to keep their cool, but if I were a mod, I'd probably have snapped by now. I just don't see how you guys can take that kind of crap. It bothers me a lot... T_T

Trust me, I've almost snapped a few times. And usually I try to get along with everyone. But now it seems like even when I try to be nice to those disrespecting and flaming me, they still have the "Screw you. You're an evil mod" attitude. It really does hurt, though, when people yell at us and sometimes even go as far as cussing us out for doing what we're supposed to do.

*nods* I bet most mods have. And I don't see how the can still have that kind of attitude towards you. You're probably the nicest mod I know here on the forums. Now, I'm not saying every other mod is mean, because there are plenty of good mods, but you by far have shown the best way to handle yourself, and others. I just wish everyone tha has that attitude, could adjust themselves, and if they don't, someone should really adjust it for them...

I do agree that there are some mods that could use a little better judgment about somethings, but it still doesn't justify the way some people treat us. <_<

I won't name names of certain mods, but the all know who they are. And you are very correct, just because some mods are a little bit more harsh than others at handling problems, doesn't mean members have to rebel by cussing mods out and flaming them. In my opinion, that's just really low..

I'll use today for an example. I was trying to help someone on the BB and they pretty much kept telling me they could not trust me because I was a 'corupted mod'. It kinda reminds me of High School almost because of all the sterotyping.

Corrupted? WTF? That is so ignorant and moronic I can't even say anything else. I mean, my gosh, you were just trying to help the person, and besides, the only reason they got banned, is because they were at fault. They can't place the blame anywhere else.

There have been some people that try to claim SB mods banned them for stupid reasons when in reality they were spamming and had gotten warnings. Then there are others that insit we all hate them. For a while the later was laughable, but now that too, kinda stings when people say that. Sometimes I don't think they get that mods are humans, too, and we DO have feelings and can be hurt just like them.

I totally agree. Why are these people not respecting those who keep this forum in order.

Sure, maybe a few constructive comments (notice how I put Constructive in bold) can't hurt, but if you are insulting or talking rudely to a mod, you might as well just leave because you're pretty close to being thrown out the doorway.

It's better to just keep your mouth shut and vent when the computer is off. There's less of a chance that a mod will hear you (unless they are a sibling/relative of yours; then you just shut up entirely)[/b]

Yesh that would be nice if people would stop getting mad at mods for doing their jobs!

I agree. It's rather sad that it takes a couple of stupid little n00bs that think they know everything to piss a mod off by being a complete idiot.

I mean, most of the mods are some of the nicest people on the forums once you get to know them . . . their good side, anyway. I mean, when they tell you to stop doing something that violates the rules of the board, the smartest thing to do is the respect their wishes and do what they say. Duh? What's so hard about doing that? Don't complain, and don't talk back at them . . . unless you're interested in getting banned (not a good thing)!

I won't even talk about the SB mods - I don't go on there really. I don't think my Internet likes it much. XD

I mean, it takes guts and responsibility to be a mod, and I totally respect them for all they do (I being one of the first mods here before taking a hiatus long ago) and the way they use their judgment. Sure, sometimes they can be a pain in the butt sometimes, but we can be too . . . especially those members that spam topics with crap posts and whatnot. (no offense to anyone, of course)

Personaly I don't know.

But I do remember when saw some flamings from some banned spoiled brats(eh?WHY?If they would follow the rules normally and if they'd listen to the Mod's warnings,They WOULDN'T find them selves there).

I understand that some Mods are under 18(meaning just became teen or preteens.)But it doesn't means that "you" don't have to pay attention at what they're saying.

I really find frustrating when some normal members pretends and acts like Mod,It's so "immature" and dum. They should realise that by this acting will make things worse.They should try somehow to LISTEN at a REAL mod.And not ARGUE with them.

And The most wierdest thing,that Balto Source has changed a lot during one year and some months since I've joined,and I don't remember it beeing so flooded with "spammage"...insulting memebrs,wars,debates...and so...I remember it in a very opposite way.
These reasons might be some stuff of "why people leaves this place"..

This is just my oppinion..I really wouldn't liek if you'd point fingers at me because of what I said.

You could have stopped there.
DON'T LISTEN to all the insults the banned people can say. I mean, they have been banned for a reason, and most of the time it's because they were rude to other people. So, obviously, you will find most of these people gathered in the banned box. This is logical, and they DONT represent the visitors on the site but a minority.
