Animation Source Forums

Fanart-central does this on it's forums and is actually pretty successful. It's called 'Life Assistance'. A forum where people can go to vent, and get advise on various stressful situations that they are currently going through.

Now, this may seem to open to some people, putting their problems into words online where others can see them. But in another sense, it would also give free range to try and help a person that needs the comfort, and advise.

This suggestion also might have complications with how Balto Source is a child-friendly site. Some things people go through in life aren't child friendly, and might be harmful to those who don't understand.

I still think it would be a good idea, hence my mentioning/suggesting it. I'd be glad to help out anyone who needs it, I've always been an understanding, empathetic person who hates seeing others hurting. Even if this is never made into a topic, I'd still be willing to listen to people here if they need it.

This is a wonderful idea Draco! There have been some things I wanted to make a topic about that I've been going through recently, but I didn't dare because I knew it'd get locked or something from people either telling me I'm a dumba-- or something. <_<

But this is a fantastic idea. ^^

Thanks Cole, and Tibb! I thought it would be a good idea too. I'm sure alot of people here are going through alot and want to talk about it with people that might be able to offer help, or people that can relate. IF we can spread the suggestion around, I hope this would be helpful.

I would LOVE that!! Oh my god, I would use it alot. As for the child-friendly issue, maybe it can be neutral stuff or if not well maybe it should have a pop up warning window.

I think the "Other" section is there for that. Mods shouldn't lock such topics in this section, unless they are REALLY useless.
But I believe I have already seen such topics in the Other section.

Yes, we don't usually lock them unless the person also keeps posting topic after topic of usless or 'whiney' complaints. But the if we make too many sections on the site, it will be way to overwhelming. This is a Balto-Fan site remember. Its not for everything ;D

Hmm, I dunno. I think there could be some dodgy topics there, and like you said, It's ment to be a child friendly sight. But I have never seen this other site so I really don't know what it's like. I guess it's up to Steet to dicide
