Aparently there have been some reports of the PS3 getting red lights of doom...I have yet to hear what it means but whe you get them..the console wont start up..so im guessing its a major internal failure. Heres a Vice I found of it.

I would be so angry if this happened to my Ps3

The Launch console problems begin...and I have yet to see anythin wrong with Wii. Then again...Nintendo worked on their stuff alot longer so I didnt expect it...sony was rushed...very rushed.

Yet another issue with the PS3. I hope Sony can fix these problems sooner or later. I'm still going to try to get a PS3 despite these issues and I certainly hope this doesn't happen to me.

They already sent there shipment on the right date, there next is to come in on December 1st............

if you are complaining about the red light itself.... your ps2 are doomed too!, hehehehehe, its because it is a overheat protect system that turn off the ps2 and don´t let it became on with the red blinking light.

I already have a problem like this in a day the temperature here was 41 Celsius (and because my ps2 doesnot have much air flow, may helped) my ps2 spent about 30 minutes with red blinking lights after that it become working fine again

All the sytems had the same problem.......... Xbox 360 was a big one, it was delayed 2 or three times because of it, and yes ofcorse not all other game sfrom the generation before will work, same with the 360, it happends....... and as for the controller malfuction I never had a problem with it......... and as for frezzing, hell no, it loaded things extreamly fast.... some of the loading screens were like a second then it was one with it..........

But autoaticly, nothing is perfect when it comes out, so automaticly accpet it, becaus eit will happen, the Wii also had some problems with there consuls aswell, it's the law of life, there will always be accedents and there will always be nothing perfect.........

No Wii problems so far....360 wasnt delayed...They infact were rushing to get the first shipment out.

Oh wow..I can't believe this. It was released about a week ago, I guess the first batch usually IS the worst. Some kids at my school are selling PS3s for like $1500 and they're gipping the innocent! AHH! They're probably selling these defected evil red light ones, too.

And so this is why I'm waiting until June to buy it, or atleast until a hawt scorching game is released ;) -coughTekkencough-

Xbox 360 was delayed ether 2 or 3 times, and yes there have been a few Wii problems, but whatever nothing will be perfect^^

But what I can say is im not sure about the stores near you guys, but here, the PS3 is the number 1 thing to have, it's the most popular, it sold the most and it broke the records in every electronic store in winnipeg, like Wall Mart, EB, Best Buy, Future Shop and all of those electronic stores, so for something very expenceve, it's earned the most popularity here^^

I should ask for the list of the top ten things..... I will and get back to here and post it....

I personally think the PS3 isn't all it's cracked up to be. I mean it's already had defect issues all across the world. And on top of that, a few days ago in my city, a guy robbed a video game store of all the PS3s that actually worked, and replaced them with the crappy red light of doom ones.

P.S. I'm not trying to start a flame war here.

Those were tentative release dates those were never set in stone..they were ideas for when the system might be released. never said thats when and only when it will be released so it was never pushed back.

...care to explain what type of problems the Wii has? I'm not being a fanboy but I have yet to see ANY problems with my Wii... and no it hasn't just sat there since launch day; I have beaten and nearly master the 50-60 hour game, Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I work at gamestop and we have had to tell be able to get a PS3..since sony is sending out so little.

Sony ahs had alot of problems with their systyms latly. What is the deal I mean they are giving them away free at Mijer(I scene a add in the catalog.

Ooohh...How is it? I really want to get that game, but I have to wait till January till I get my Wii...

Balto~Claw--> I doubt there giving away PS3's for free, people pay $20,000 dollars for them, so they would have to be really stupid.

About the topic--> I think that PS3's are stupid, no offence but I think their a waste of money, what's the point of paying $600 to play a video game for a few hours, then to have it break?
