Who is the best Heavy Metal band of the last millenium!

Choices posted above in a poll!

I won't vote for fairness but my choice would have been Iron Maiden no question!

it was a tough choice because i liked all of the bands in the poll, but i went with black sabbath. many musicians agree that black sabbath is the true origional metal band. they were the pretty much the first to use drop tunings and really make use of the power chords. they started in the mid to late 60's and really changed the sound of rock. (i watched the 100 greatest rock bands of all time on VH1 and they didnt get the #2 spot for nothing

led zepppelin was first) they were recently inducted in to the rock and roll hall of fame by metallica. my favorite songs from them are war pigs, paranoid, sweet leaf, faries wear boots, hand of doom, iron man, children of the grave, rat salad, the wizard and so on and so on.

I voted Metallica just because they are my favourite heavy metal band. I also have Iron Maiden's "The Reincarnation" song. I think it's really cool

I had to pick other. No In Flames, Amon Amarth, Godsmack, AIC, Judas Priest or Slipknot.
Id also pick other just for the pure fact that I cant stand listening to one band for over an hour. None of the bands in the poll nor what I mentioned really are the best in the millennium. Alot of ties in my mind. But none can clam the best.
