I'm right-handed, though I can only snap the fingers of my left hand. Odd.
On a different note, I remember seeing an old educational film in junior high where they showed medical scientists conducting a series of brain tests on various human subjects (nothing devious, mind you). Among them was an experiment where the connecting conduits between both halves of the human brain, in a subject, were severed. As we know, the right half of our brain controls the left side of our body, and the right side controls the left. In the case of the subject they performed the experiment on, suddenly he encountered great difficulty (and frustration) trying to coordinate his hands in any activity requiring him to use both. The two halves of his brain could no longer relay information back and forth, and the result was quite dramatic. His two hands were actually COMPETING with each other (literally trying to push one another aside or outdo the other), and stumbling over each other, trying to perform even simple tasks. It was almost as if he became two people, fighting with each other through his hands. It was
EXTREMELY freaky to watch! (No joke...this was a real film I saw in school years ago.)
I'll tell ya...those scientists!
