Well first of all I would use vidieo inprestion 1.6 or windows movie maker. And to animate you need to draw frame by frame, and your best bet is to scan and erace and draw the next frame. for information ask drewthewolf. and use the ask questions page.

It's not spam, there's another question like this too here though.

Animating isn't easy, but, the cheapest program is Jasc Animation Shop pro...It's around....$30.00 in American currency o_O

Most of the time for my aniniamtion, i use Adobe PhotoShop ImageReady. It comes free with Photoshop 6.0...or atleast i got it for free^^. I do mine right there frame by frame staring with a bg. If it tis ur first time ya might wanna do a simple one. My first one was a stick man playing pasket ball.

I have an idea that will work... but it'll end up looking like the production animations of a film. You'll have to have a scanner and WIndows Movie Maker. If you have Windows Movie Maker, use that program. Every animation - no matter who does it - is complete frame by frame. Each new movement at all is a new drawing. But you can just use the same drawing as before and move the part you need to be moving. Make sure it flows in sequence. Once you have all your drawings, scan them, and open each one, and line them up in MovieMaker. Eventually, you'll have a film compiled of each of your pictures that you can loop, and watch the character do its thing. I did an animation, and tried to upload it here in my gallery... you've inspired me to try again... :D

This is in the correct area, their is no longer a questions page Balto Claw please leave the removal of topics to mods.

Now on the subject of animation.

It is very pain staking, each second of film has 24 frames. I suggest purchasing some tracing paper [as it is much cheaper then a light box] drawing out the first image [frame] on a regular peice of paper and tracing it on to the tracing paper. Regular paper is easier to see everything, once you've done that and have transfered the first frame to the tracing paper you can beging drawing the other frames. place another peice of tracing paper atop of your first peice of tracing paper and trace the image, [for example we will use a walk cycle] moving the parts of the body slightly that we want to move. Once you have completed your frames, scan each of them on to the computer. Label your frames when drawing them so you can keep track of what order they go in. Once your done scanning upload them frame by frame into WMM or image ready, flash whatever you have save and wala animation. ;D

Below is an example of frame by frame movement.
