I really do not believe that they would make a good pair but a lot of people say that kodi likes kirby and dusty like ralph.

And even in Steet's interview with Phil, he said that Dusty is with Ralph.  And Kodi belongs (and is with) Kirby.

Okay,
Didn't you see Dusty nuzzle Ralph? And when she trotted off, Ralph gave a hopeful look? Heck, there is proof that Dusty and Ralph like each other and belong with each other. Kodi may have a rather "right" body, and isnt' as fat as Ralph, aswell as our female Dusty, but so what? Does it matter with looks?
Now, there is no proof that Kirby and Kodi are together, but our dear fans may think or like thinking them as mates, which they truly aren't. When did you see two dogs of the same sex going out in a G rated movie? However, as there IS some "hints" that children may not notice in movies - If they wanted Kirby and Kodi liking each other more than just as friends in the G rated Balto movie, then they could easily place "hints" that children may not notice. It happens alot, and I notice alot of these "hints" in G rated movies.
I don't think they REALLY wanted Kodi and Kirby together, but I'll just gladly say "Kodi + Kirby = Love" just because I could care less. It don't bother me, and it's better than Dusty and Kodi. We should all know that Dusty likes Ralph, and is with Ralph .. Atleast likes him. We didn't see them really "nose touching, long nuzzling, ect", but the movie wasn't about them. Atleast you can easily tell they like each other just by that cute short nuzzle, and Ralph's hopeful happy look on his face.
And, if Kodi did go with Dusty, then what would Ralph think? Since Dusty and Ralph are pretty close together - and Ralph would feel a strong dislike towards Kodi, and wouldn't want to work with Kodi, and it would lead to a Problem. Also, if they wanted Kodi and Dusty together - Then, they would show something is going on. And they wouldn't make Dusty give Ralph a short nuzzle, and Ralph giving a hopeful happy face.
Dusty and Kodi wouldn't make a good couple, and I hope this post clears some things up.

Phil Weinstein himself also said that there was nothing going on between kodi and Dusty and that it was going on with Dusty and RALPH.
