I use western at the moment but, I used to do english. Jumping was fun, although I'd rather galop full out on my quarter horse with a western saddle then a english one. Hope you guys enjoy my topic, I'm curious to see how many members here ride with different saddles.

I ride with english only i tried western but found it hard to ride in i guess i'm to use to english.I find also jumping saddles easy to gallop in full power much more smooth strids and less heavy for both horse and rider.I do alot of show jumping, dressage and cross country events every year and find it fun i only go for fun and not to win but if i win a place then its still good.

Learn from bareback is good way and from no rains too you learn how to bond with the horse and get trust in both horse and rider only that bareback has low risk but not trying to make you afraid of riding bareback its only low risk of getting hurt but all riding style has danger to it

I ride English but I rode Western since I was three. Even though I gallop more in English, my first gallop was when I was three in a Western saddle. I mostly do show jumping with a school horse ((Sigh; yes I don't own any horses)) named Keep On Truckin' also known as Skeeter. I've always wanted to learn bareback. Is it hard?

Bareback is not hard this may come to a surprise but riding bareback is much easier than riding with saddle i know its sounds crazy but it is true

Well, to me it was almost the same. Maybe you've got The horseman's blood in you! I know I dont but, I still ride as good as anyone, unless they are indeed better than me.
