People, before you begin flaming about your hatred of shock and choke collars read this!
Shock and choke collars aren't that bad. Would you fence a horse in electric fence? Yes, you would! Shock collars deliver a shock not much greater than that of a typical electric fence. Choke collars are very useful training aids. Both are humane and a small electric shock or a second without air wouldn't hurt anybody, just get their attention, and you sometimes can't penetrate the thick head of some beings by words, and you might need a shock or choke collar to get their attention. I would use these on people, but I would probably be thrown in the shock chair.

Yes, I forgot to put that down. You must put the collar on correctly or the animal will lose his will, pass out, or die.

Yes We have a Labrador Husky and she has very thick skin so you cant get things through her head so Shock and choke collars are good for her.

My dog Houdini has to have a shock collar to break him from his habit of chasing four-wheelers and horses. It'd actually be inhumane not to use it in his case. Eventually he might get run over by a four-wheeler if we don't break him of that habit soon!

My Aunt used shock collars on her German Shepherds to stop them running away. They used to get out onto a main and very busy road. So I suppose that it was for their own good.. I'd prefer an electric shock than to be hit by a lorry personally.
But I don't like talking about my Aunt's dogs... or my Aunt at that since she treated them so bad.. I won't get started.
Anyway, I don't agree with people using shock collars for fun.. I know that there are many cruel people out there who would be sick enough to do that. As for choke chains, I hate them. But with my dad's dog you have to use one or else he'll drag you along the path. He's my dad's dog... I don't get much of a say.
Archie just has a normal collar.

Anyway another reason is we dont want out dog to get lose. Because she's is very nice she like to jump on people and she could make an old person break their hip. Then we would get Sued and lose a whole lot of money.

We have and underground fenec for our dogs and a chocker colar for one of them. We only have the cocker as a training aid becasue shes so strong. (German shepard huskey cross) anyway i hate it when people abuse the use of chocker or schock colars.

I would NEVER put my horse in an electric pen. It's screws them up totally. It ruins a good show horse, they spook at the fences because of that. I know this from experience sadly, more than one...
I also do NOT agree with a shock collars, if you are going to teach your dog to keep quiet you do it with time and patience! Also, I would rather an electric fence if my dog runs away. The ones with just an electric wire at the bottom.
Choke collars are fine though, but, I prefer a halti they work much easier for the dog and you but, they are expesive so, choke collars are fine too.

I have to agree here. I have to use a choke chain whenever I walk my dogs because they get really strong, and my wolf-dog got out once and almost got hit by a BMW. Yeah, so I keep them on thier choke chains when I know I have to walk them.

I don't use them on Archie, he's my own dog.. he's just too gentle and it would probably upset him.
