I am noticing, way too much, that when someone begins a topic, someone always comes in and throws a rude remark into the mix. This is becoming a very big problem, and is leading to flame wars, which leads to locked topic. Some of the people here need to keep their mouths shut about their opinions on certain topics. If you do not agree with a topic says, simply do not input your 2-cents. The only exception is on a debating topic. So come on people, try to respect others' opinions, and don't reply with crude remarks if you disagree with him/her, just let it slide, and let people that agree on that topic have an enjoyable time talking without any fights.

I agree sometimes but I think everyone has the right to state their opinion, no matter if they agree or disagree. The problem is that when somebody disagrees, the other people that DO agree flame them and that's what starts the fight. I think that if they don't like the comment that person made then to just ignore it, or try to reason with the person. There is really no reason to flame.

I still don't like it when somebody says 'YOUR WRONG! F$^# YOU! I HATE THIS!' (well, maybe not like that but something like it.) But people have to learn that not everybody is going to agree with them. So get over it. (that was not ment for you ;))

yeah, unfortunately, people seem to not like opinions that go against the majority.

I think some people are just blind toward other people's statements, and that they don't want any arguement against their own. QQuite pathetic really; it's just an opinion, not a fact that's written into stone.

Opinions are just personal statements that can be - and are - argued against. Deal with it.

If you don't like someone who is stating a piece against your own comment, you'll just be screwing yourself if you flame them.

My GOD, is THAT the freakin' TRUTH!

And it doesn't just happen when someone posts an intolerant response to someone else's topic...but when someone posts an intolerant response to someone's PERSONAL OPINION (whether it is stated as such or NOT) in a running topic!

And yes, WHOOF...there are plenty of cases on this site (not too much anymore, thank GOD) where one person has been ganged up on by several (who are usually in good with each other) because ONE of those people didn't like what another person (who is outside of their circle) said. Especially a newer person. AND that problem was as rampant as the "Black Death" itself in the fan art forum until the great "I'm taking my art and leaving, you disrespectful (*insert your favorite profanity here*)" fiasco of the summer.

And that was an example of the most unpleasant aspects of this site. THE most unpleasant. Of a few people (mostly fan artists, and/or very long-standing members from the "old site" as they often like to call it) who had allowed their "popularity" with a percentage of the membership to swell their egos to gargantuan proportions, and then use it to abuse and bully others. :x

Happily, bad egos here have been put on a short leash, which is right where they need to be. Now all we seem to have to deal with is annoying little newbie kids who think they can come in here and act like they do on unmoderated boards and chat rooms. Which won't fly either.

Thank you Sep, as always I am delighted that you do what you can to make the truth be heard. Heh....I thought I was in for it when I begun this topic, but evidently it's going quite well. :)

Well, Zergs, so long as there is no flaming, EVERYONE has a right to express what's really bothering them here! Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to be flamed or attacked for speaking about a very touchy subject, but it ALSO doesn't mean that I don't have a right to express it! Especially since I didn't name anyone in particular! So there is no flame...no attack. Just a stated frustration, and relieving of long-standing anger and grudge by getting it out.

I wouldn't be so keen at pointing your finger at newbies. You post very short useless comments ALOT. I've actually seen a few people telling you to stop spamming because you write stuff like:

"What????" and don't even explain what is it you don't undertsand.

No offence...
