Chapter One: Many Fear's...
Kylia yawned and awoke from her peaceful dream. Last night, she went on the rage again... but instead of killing other wolves, she wiped out a Heck load of Elk... Alone...
"What a scary dr-" she froze as she saw remains of Elk laying around her.
Kylia yelped and ran out of the den and into a pond where she washed herself off. She sighed and a tear rolled down her face. "why Shadowcatcher..." she whispered and continued to wash her blood-stained coat.
Another wolf, named Kalil was not to far from Kylia. He yawned and opened his eyes, awakening to the beginning of another day. He stood up and walked out of his den, stretching in the sunlight. ‘Another day...’ he thought to himself and began to head for the nearby pond to get a drink, ‘Nothing new or exciting ever happens around here. Why on Earth did I choose here for my home?’ As he stepped out into view, he heard splashing and looked up to see a black fae tossing about in the water. ‘Ooooooooook’ he thought and cleared his throat.
"Um, hi," he said and took a few steps forward, "Mind if I get a drink? I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
Kylia jumped back at the sight of the male. “Uh, Um...” she froze. When she Finally regain focus she shook her head. “No..” she got out after a long, reluctant pause.
Comet, who was also close by, grinned as he was staring small grasshopper ahead of him. It was chirping again. He growled at it wanting to snap it in two and eat it, for at least some kind of food. He slowly got up and walked ahead sniffing at the ground for a while and then he sat down and then leaped at the grasshopper that hopped away and disappeared into brushes.
"Dumb thing" he growled and walked ahead hearing sounds. He grinned.
"More dumb Wolves in my area eh?"
He sneaked towards them grinning. His silvery white fur was easy to notice. He suddenly sat down behind brushes watching them.
"Loving mates eh? Vanish or feel pain" came his growl from the brush which was a warning.
"Don't you dare hurt them!" came another voice from the bushes. Nakario lept on the wolf and pinned him down, keeping a large paw on his throat and the other paws dug deeply into the ground. He snarled in his face.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked, angrily.
Kylia Froze and her Body seemed to stiffen. 'males... brutes' she thought and backed up. She then looked to where the growl was. The word 'mate' triggered her anger. " Make me Leave!" She snapped, Daringly, the Young Fae showed no fear, but it wasn't exactly her doing the actions... it was her 'other' half. Kylia growled and her ears pinned as she did so. Kylia stopped as another Brute came. She stiffened. Surrounded, and halfly terrified, her normal self came back and she Fell back into the water.
Comet Growled and paid no attention to Kylia. He grinned and kicked the male's belly twice with his hind leg and then threw his upper body abit higher and kicked the middle part of his body with both of his hind legs sending him through the brush and into the small river.
"Hush you!" he said as he rolled up on his paws and flicked his tail, grinning. "I'm the flesh of war so your kind wont come to mess with me!" he shouted after Nakario and smirked. He slowly made a glance at the female.
"Oww so poor and lonely...no dominance for her" he laughed and then walked off disappearing into a brush.
"Hey, take it easy!"Came Kalil’s Voice as he raised his paw up, showing her he meant no harm, "I mean no harm! There's someone in that bush, some b*****d who's trying to scare us... You can't make me leave! My home is here! Plus, you're to afraid to show yourself, you coward!"
Then he heard another wolf shouting behind the bush. Ok, today is definitely not a normal day... he thought and glanced back at Kylia.
"I'm not gunna hurt you or do anything to you... You have no reason to fear me or not trust me..."
Kylia looked at Kalil. Her Mind was somewhere else, she was different, and odd. Or atleast thats what she thought.
"Okay..." she said, still alittle untrusting. She Managed to pull herself up from the water. She shivered and Shook off then sat in the warm sun. 'your not poor and lonely.. look infront of you... there is a fri-' but her 'other half' cut her off. ' look kylia.. there's food' it whispered evily into her ear. Kylia looked at Kalil for a second then looked away.
Kalil watched her as she stared at him for a moment, then looked away. He shrugged and walked up to the water's edge, bending his head down and lapping up some water. 'She's a little strange' he thought, then recalled some of the other wolves he'd met in his lifetime. 'Then again, many wolves are strange to me. I bet I seem strange to her.' As soon as he drank his fill he looked at her and sat down. "So, are you a traveler or are you here to stay?" he asked, trying to be friendly to her but it seemed useless.
