Sorry to burst your bubble here, but there is something you should know.
Wolves are more rabid than some of us thought. In a few states, including Montana, wolves are growing in population rapidly, and they are killing livestock by the hundreds. This is a serious problem here in those states. Apperantly some of these wolves don't just kill for food, they kill for "fun". People have found 300 sheep, I think 100 cows, a bunch of elk, two ladies and I think a man and probably more with they're necks ripped open. Cows can cost over $1,000, and the wolves are just killing them. So don't just go feeling sorry for a bunch of wolves being killed, because they are killers. They are dangerous. Most or all wolves aren't a Balto, gentle and kind I still like wolves, primarily for they're looks, but they will kill slmost anyone in sight. Be careful.

Kill everything for fun?
Err, I mean - I know that they don't only eat the sick. They eat healthy, and they attacked a few people, which is why alot of people dealing with wolves must be very careful.
Where did you get this info?
A wolf is dangerous, as every wild animal is.
But, since I only know a bit about wolves - How can this be true? Kill for fun?

Ok...back to this I see...For those that didn’t read either mine or BaltoSeppala's posts in the Wolves or husky’s topic, I suppose I should leave a few links for accurate information on both wolves and wolf hybrids
Hybrids
What has been said in the original post within this topic is partially true, wolves are...as I have said SO many times WILD ANIMALS and when food is in abundance they sometimes kill in abundance. They don’t care how much your cow cost you...They have hunted for food, from the dawn of there time...Feral instincts never leave a species completely. Humans, have been known to go to there feral instincts in time of need and do things they normally would not have if they were in there "good" state of mind, mentally...or physically.
Snowpaws wrote: they will kill almost anyone in sight. Be careful.
Definitely...not true. While they are wild animals, they do still fear humans unless they are around them throughout there life’s. A wolf wont just jump through your car window while your driving down the highway and kill you...A wolf with no fear of people is a very dangerous thing.
Are Wolves Dangerous to Humans?

Just where are your facts to back up these statements?

For the children that are to lazy to read the wolf information website I posted, I would like to point this text out from the document..
"Historically, wolves were persecuted by humans throughout much or their range. Probably because of this, most wolves are shy and avoid humans. This has given rise to the quote that "there has never been a documented case of a healthy, wild wolf killing a human in North America" - a quote which is still true. Yet, in some rare cases wolves have become fearless of humans and the result has lead to serious injury and in some countries, even death."

There will always be livestock but, ask yourself this, will there always be wolves? The answer is no, wolves will not last forever by the way we are treating the earth. We took their territory so they have every right to kill as they please.

They don't need rights to kill, they do it anyways. They do not know any better. The can't determine right from wrong.

Sigh, I still don't believe that wolves will kill everything in sight. I'm positive that they only kill for their needs.

Wolves kill for food, and to a lesser extent, pleasure.

I don't agree with anything you've said. You should really do more research. Wolves are amazingly misjudged creatures.
For starters, as said by others, they only kill the weakest of the herd. Since food is hard for them to catch due to enviromental and people-caused problems they are likely to eat the entire animal rather than just leaving it dead like you said.
Wolves most certainly are not growing in population. If anything, they are decreasing. Wolves will not kill all most anything in sight. Where on earth did you get your info from? And also, just to like something for their looks isn't right.. a cobra may look nice with its beautifully patterned skin but.. would you want to put your hand anywhere near its mouth?

Show us where even one person, on this topic so far, said "How dare u say tht! wolves are da best!" So far, I've seen nothing but intellectual counters to Snowpaws' blatant statements.
Wolves are PREDATORS. They kill out of an instinctual need to survive...to eat. Or to protect their territory. They are not "killers". That is a fundamentally different concept, based on a human ideology. And it is an unintelligent thing to say.
