What was your favourite song in WQ?

Personally, I liked Taking you Home and Who you really are.
I would have preferred it if there hadn't been any songs in the movie though.

Who you really are,but I also like Muru's Chant.

Ughhh....I hate all the songs But, if I'd have to choose, I'd say... *long pause* ...Grand Design The Villian's Song!!! I always love the villians

WQ did not have the greatest songs in my mind, but I think their most successful ones were Taking you Home and The Grand Design. I had to think of which one I liked better... for a long time I have to say The Grand Design because it's sung by the villans, who mostly have good songs That made no sense XD

Aw, dangit, I accidentally clicked on 'Muru's Chant' instead of 'Who You Really Are'. But, uh, anyways, I loved 'Who You Really Are'. Awesome song.

Yeah, none of the songs were amazingly good.

Personally, I feel neutral about all of the songs. I really didn't think any of them were neccessary for the film, but I still thought they added some different sounds to the story.

Let me break it down a bit:

Taking You Home: The adoption song, I like to call it. I thought that the lyrics were nice, and IMO it really seemed like the song was from Aleu's POV of what she always dreamed of: Being adopted by a human like her brothers and sisters. Of course, later on she realizes that this was never meant to be. Still, a nice soft song (it reminded me of a lullaby, with its quiet, soothing tone) to start things off.

Muru's Chant: I like Muru! (really, I think for a mouse that was only on screen for one scene, he really fulfilled his purpose!) Not only did the chant introduce Aleu to Muru, but also it showed Muru's beliefs as a spirit (although at the time, no one knew he was a spirit). It was also light and pretty, like a chant should be, so I really liked it.

Who You Really Are: Again, I really like this song too. The main purpose of the song was to lead up to Aleu's "real" purpose of running away IMO (the "quest" of Wolf Quest, I suppose - especially with the use of visual symbolism, the lyrics, and the flow of the music), although we all know she ran away because she was upset of being part wolf. I suppose it was a reflection of Muru's spiritual beliefs and also a show of what Aleu could be, if she wished it.

The Grand Design: The "Good vs. Evil" song, IMO. While it explained the thoughts of Niju (the "villain") and Nava (the "good" wolf, I suppose), I feel that this song's purpose was to begin to descend into the film's crucial climax (the crossing of the ice bridge and the choosing of the new leader). Honestly, it proved its purpose by discussing how the wolves had to survive - a life that Aleu knew nothing about. It seemed to prepare her for the challenges ahead, although no one thought she would be the one that Aniu had actually summoned to lead. Song-wise, it was okay. Again, the strength of the song was in the lyrics, not the singing itself. Not too bad, but it painted the way into the film's final act.

*whew!* (I didn't forget any, did I?) I suppose I liked "Muru's Chant" and "Who You Really Are" the most, but I can't choose which one is best. ^__^ (I suppose most people liked the Muru songs because Muru wasn't as annoying as other characters in the film! IMO)

Yeah, just to make sure, Muru's Chant is the song that he was singing as Aleu entered the cave and that she howled to. 'Who you really are' was the song that he sang to Aleu.

None of the songs were "good". The only ?ok" ones that i thought were the grand design and Muru's Chant. Muru's Chant was based off of a Nativ American rythym so i liked it and the grand desine was ok.
