Hello boys and girls i have found a very interesting thing.
Bethesda has given Arena as a free downlaod with dos emulation.
Of course its the prequel to the masterpieces named Morrowind and Daggerfall.
I gave thsi link to see how games where made in the old days, horrible graphics and a good detail to gameplay and feeling.
Of course i think nobody will downlaod such a old game but i did and i am not ashamed on a 2000MHz giant i play a 66MHz game and i just love it!
Download from here and enjoy!
http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/downloads_games.htm

This should make our waiting for The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion much easier.

I can give a guide to use but there is a very good one in the docs folder but anyway here it is:
Start->Run->and type "command" (shortcut to command prompt)
Then: CD\Arena
then type Install and make sound and music card:
Sound Blaster 16 or compatible
Exit
Next install DosBox (very good at emulating DOS games)
it should be the Z:\ dir when u run the program first.
Use this command:
Mount C C:\
Then againd use the eternal CD\arena (CD=change directory)
Then type Arena to play a dinosaur, look in the docs folder for extra info.

That's one reason I prefer playing on consoles

Actually thats one of the simplest things to do, i done it daily in the old days with the MS-"DOG".
And ps that game isnt compatible with Windows 2k or XP it was a game made in 1992 so lol.
I didnt say everybody download it play it or else i will shoot you.
If u want to see how the old games where made to test it.
Consoles are for easy people who dont want to do things more complicated because in a pc sometimes you need to know some basic mathematics and programming or even the "special programming" to work.
A console is insert CD and play.
This might annoy certain people but this is the truth.

Eh, I'm a programmer...But I still don't want to make things complicated when it can be easier.
Well I know how old PC games were, I had a 8086 and a 386 a few years ago...I had played games such as Ishar 2 on them. But american RPG have never been my favorite. I prefer adventure games such as Monkey Island, Gabriel knight, Broken sword, Discworld...

Lol i played them too (except Gabriel Knight) but u forgot to mention Sam & Max - Hit the Road.
If u can do things easier than what i say to run Arena pls tell me i am all ears (except installing windows 98 or MS-DOS lol)
Hm can i mention that Bethesda is a russian company at its roots?
And if u like console games to much look at The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion then come to tell me that consoles have better graphics than PC's or any other thing.
Just look at the site i mentioned above and look at the pics or downlaod the movie and enjoy.

Edit:

Yes, I already played that one, there were so many...(and now so few)

Err...yes in fact, since this game is to be released on Xbox 360 first  But I don't care much for this type of games, I prefer japanese Final fantasy-type RPGs. Even if it's technically well made, these screens feels very empty to me. And too "realistic".
Everybody with his tastes...

Then you will be very disappointed to know that it has been cancelled by Lucasarts a few months ago... Of course, people buy only licensed games such as Star wars or sequels to known licenses, so they probably thought it would not sell enough well...
The only one I'm looking forward in this kind of games, is Runaway 2 (I liked the first one pretty much, one of the last games I played on PC)

Mmm, distribution problems, maybe...I'm not even sure if it was released in the US in fact, but I think it was. The game is made by Pendulo Studios, a spanish developper...It has took several months for the game to be released in France. But it has become the biggest success of these last years in the "point & click adventure" kind. So I believe there will be no distribution problem for this sequel...

The game was finished a long time ago 3 years not shure and it wasnt released because the old distribuition bankrupted.

Gamefaqs say that the game was released on 08/28/03 in the US and got cancelled in Europe  Logically, that would be the opposite...Well it was released at least in Spain, England, Germany and France...
