Okay so this has been bothering me, a lot of people are extremely picky you know and I can deal with it but when it's all over the place oh god, I'm not saying to make people change their mind about their thoughts at all belive whatever you want to but stop being such butholes about it hmmk? for example "somedude wrote: I like this forrum" which pickyperson said: " she said forrum , uh this pisses me off people should learn correct spelling" see what's anoying? you don't have to exept human stupidity just tolerate it and stop being such a frekin' pussy about it, for example it could have been just a simple type-o someone made and so? what's the big deal if you care so much for good spelling you would tell them nicely after all the reason is not what you have to care about is the fact that is there, I think people should have good spelling but I realize everyone makes mistakes like it or not, you're not perfect neither is the world then shut up.
Another thing that doesn't apply just for spelling but mainly for everything, ounce somebody told me "if you don't have anything nice (polite) to say don't say anything at all" that was the million buck answear for many of the complains on the site, you have a bad day? well that's sad but only you can change that and guess what complaining ain't gonnna help.

Well said, Silver Snow!
It would be even nicer if these same "perfectionists" could edit the bad grammar in many of the fanfics nowadays too, since they're so darn picky about grammar.
(Great, we have little nit-picky Aleu-clones on the site now, eh? Gaaaaaah.)
It is much easier to read proper grammar and spelling on the forums so that we can know exactly what they're trying to talk about.
So yes, I feel your pain. (No offense, but was your numerous spelling mistakes a hint of sarcasm or what? Not trying to be rude or anything, mind you . . . just wondering about that.)

Yay you noticed it, it's supposed to be there. if I wanted to edit it I'd just go to microsoft word, about the Aleu clones I agree XD

I was wondering about that . . . since I can be a perfectionist at times (I have an eye for grammarical and spelling mistakes, if you can't tell).
But yeah, you could add the people that always get advice to fix their fics (spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, and "deblocking" it for easier reading (you know, the big block of text with an entire story in it, including dialogue, making it difficult to read)) - they always get on my nerves . . . and some other peoples as well.
And you wonder why these people don't have many reviews for their fics like this. Maybe if they listened to fans' comments, they'd get more feedback, eh?

Alas, I am a perfectionist myself.
But I know how to moderate myself. When it comes to my fictions and assignments, I make a few tiny mistakes (forgetting a t here, adding a u there.) But on forums, I prefer to not be such a manic spellchecker.
I do, however, know how to use my grammar properly. Spelling you can get away with (to a point), but grammar has a higher expectation of getting it correct.

I agree with everything you said, Silver Snow, but I must disagree with you on that 'don't complain' subject. I think it's okay for people to complain; some of them don't have trustworthy people that they can turn to, so they say it on the internet, where they get much more positive feedback, whereas they might get a diss in real life.
Grammar and chatspeak get on my nerves and all that, but I tend to bite my tongue and shut up. :P

Grammar should be good, I agree but you know, complaining I also agree; I mean making maybe a topic to complain I can deal with since I can just not look at it but when people start posting messagess all over the place it really gets on my last few nerves, they have a right to complain but not to bother people if it bothers them so much would they mind correcting becoming grammar mods and just dealing with it?!? >.<
and exactly it's ok to be a perfectionist as long as you know when it's ok and when it's not, like ffs, people should use Microsoft word or something to correct them ounce they get them done, it's easy it's fast and you won't have a bunch of butt-a holes complaing about it all.

In my opinion, a couple of little mistakes should be okay. But if one has numerous mistakes (for example, a spelling/grammar mistake can easily be spotted every few words), then one should let the person know that this may be a problem and help them to correct it.
Now if you read a fic with tons of mistakes (grammar and spelling ones, mind you), it would be nice if your response wasn't just about the bad grammar. Why did you read the story in the first place? Was it just for the thought of b*tching about their bad spelling and grammar usage, or was it to read a story?
No offense, but no one's stories are perfectly perfect. I've read great stories that I have caught a few mistakes and errors, but I did not let those dimish the feelings that I had for the actual story itself.
Remember, it's the story, not just the grammar that counts.
LOL, grammar mods. That would be terrible to see . . . we'd turn the entire site/forum into a grammar perfectionist's breeding ground. *shutters at the thought*

Exactly, mistakes are okay as long as the're not many and so are grammar perfectionists, some people do read stories just to find something to bee-ach about and that's ridiculous, it should have a balance but perfectionists complain not to get the anger they've got out, no they do it everywere just to b*tch at people, it's fine if grammar bothers people it's completele understadable, but it's how they do it and when they do it that bothers me, some people are wayyyyyyyy too picky, and nah if you could hear my tone of voice instead of typing you'd notice it was just a random idea, I'm not psyco enough to think of grammar mods, that'd be just ehhh ROLF scarry anyways that's one point nobody is perfect so they should stop acting as if they were better than everybody else I understand yeah most people who do that have problems with themselves but some people seriously have issues; I'm ok with it and as you said people should help other if they notice many grammar/spelling errors but it should all be balanced which it's not.

Actually, it annoys me when people use bad spelling on the forum. Chatspeak inparticular. I hate posts that are similar to this;
omg i luv balto he rocks and is da coolest dog eva!!
It would be so much easier if people would just post with proper spelling and grammar.

Agreed. Chatspeak in general drives me insane. Not to mention that what the chatspeak users are often trying to say is usually a load of rubbish..

Yeah, I've seen alot of that around.
The people that say they should learn spelling, well, it isn't hard to hit another button by mistake. So the people who say that should NOT have the right to be rude. And if you see a mistake in one of your posts, just edit it and fix it, so no selfish person can say something rude to you.
But please, if you are one of these people, that be rude to a person that has only made a tiny mistake. If someone makes a mistake, just think, their only human, we will and always will make mistakes. Its not that hard to make one.
