Okay some may think I am being over the top, but I cannot stand it when people use only emotions in a post, sometimes in response too a post they will put one smiley face and thats it! I mean what is that about?? Can people not simply put a few words together, or is that too much for members these days, obviously this is not eveyrone but quite a few have done it. Do you think I am being over the top or do you agree???

Oh, I definately agree with you. It is annoying to see a response with nothing but smilies and other emoticons, just like it's annoying to see someone answer back in nothing but "net-speak" (like LOL WTF ZOMG and so on).

I mean, yes, this is the Internet, but please with proper grammar and common sense. Not everyone can understand what you think about a certain thing if all you say is (and I quote): " " (not an actual quote; I just made it up off the top of my head really.)

Use emoticons in moderation, plz . . . same goes for cursing and "netspeak". No one can understand you if you talk this way, thanks.

Hmm, does this include on the site (not just the forums)? Because I know there's plenty of them out there, and unfortunately, it's not as easy as pressing a button beside all of the comments on site like it is here on the forums. (Because if that could be done, spammers and flamers could be minimized . . . most likely)

I think it's mostly newbies that post like that nowadays (since we old-timers here should know the basics by now, right?), but it would be nice if they could read the rules first before posting (isn't that what they're supposed to do?)? *sigh*

It is really up too you, but I have seen you do it before Safaria, so it may not be wise.

I can understand a post with only an emoticon (orwhatever the hell it's called) is really annoying in itself, but when you think about it, all one word posts are just as annoying, aren't they?

It's just a lazy way for someone to chat who doesn't feel like talking.

But if you don't feel like talking with people, why are you even on the forum anyway?

This is why mods can delete any post, anywhere...

and that's why I wish I was a mod here.

If it's on the shoutbox nothing can be done about it. Just ask the person to stop is all you can do there.
