Well, since this is a rant board section of the forum, I feel that it is right that I make my opinion known about something that has been bothering me for a while:

Bloopers.

What is up with people making pointless articles and forum topics about certain bloopers and mistakes made in the Balto movies?

I mean, yes, no one is perfect . . . which means no movie is perfect. Whether animated or live-action . . . somehow, there is a blooper or mistake that can never be fixed once made.

But why? Why must an entire article be about a miscoloration in a scene or an awkward-looking face? It's Pointless.

Although Balto (and its sequels) was not a big-budget film, even multi-million dollar film pieces have some mistakes in them! (Even the big blockbuster "Titanic" had mistakes in the script and in certain shots that no one noticed . . . until after it made millions. And guess what? No one cared. It was a good movie. End of story.)

So, I was wondering: Is this bothering anyone else as much as it is to me? Because it's just odd . . . I mean, if there was one article for every mistake/blooper/miscoloration/misanimation/etc., well gosh, could you really think about how many articles you'd have? Honestly!

So yeah. That's all I have to say on this.

Actually, this was what I had forgotten earlier . . . in the Animation/Cartoons section.

But honestly, why do people want to shove all of these harmless mistakes and bloopers in our faces so much? Shoot, I thought bloopers were supposed to be funny slip-ups and stuff, but these? Those things aren't bloopers - they're just plain old artistic mistakes.

Not much of a big deal, right?

It certainly bothers ME. That, and comparing one character to another, or trying to figure out the real-life aspects of such a character, etc. Of CARTOON characters. :x

Or asking why certain characters did things in the movie, and what would happen IF. GAH...

Yeah that bothers me too. I don't accept articles with bloopers and crap of the like because they aren't even NOTICABLE when the movie is moving. But for some reason other article mods like to accept every single article that gets sent in (which is not our job) BUt yeah, I share this annoyance with you XD

all of that annoys me.

Firstly, no one gives a crap about a character's face or a discolouration in one frame. It's there and gone in a second, so why worry about it. If the entire film was rittled with mistakes, then it wouldn't be a classic, now would it?

Secondly, why compare characters? Balto vs. Steele...that has got to be the most pointless question I have ever heard.

Hey Silver, who do you prefer? Balto or Steele?

Hmm, I'd say both, because I don't want to start a flaming topic about which character kicks more *** than the other. Instant match people.

Thirdly, real-life aspects; give me a fricking break. The reason there are no real-life aspects of a cartoon character is because THEY DON'T EXIST IN REAL LIFE! THEY ARE THE PRODUCT OF LEAD AND INK! NOTHING MORE! (not saying that Balto and co. aren't cool.)

Fourthly, why would someone ask why a character did what they did? It's not like it's changeable. Maybe if you had had some VIP clearance and saw the conceptual storyboard of the movie back in 1994-95, then you might have had a chance to debate a character's actions. But now the film in over ten years old, so shut up about the ***** character actions. You can't change them; live with it!

Finally, who is sick, and I say that with disgust, enough to ask what would happen if Jenna had decided to mate with Steele instead of Balto. None of us want to even think about that sort of stuff. It reminds me of an artist from Balto Central. Totally sick to my stomach.

But here's another thing that really annoys me (like I didn't list enough of them lol  ) I have a forum, and someone asked on it; Who'd win in a fight? Balto or Steele?

...wow, how much of a dumb question is that? Now, unless this person only saw five miniutes of the film, this should be pretty much obvious from the get-go. Basically, "compete" topics, as I call them, are a pointless waste of space on any forum, because they start up flame war in a snap. You guys agree with me on this?

thank you 'Seppala. You can tell that I can control my anger, can't you? lmao.

I thought Drew'd come down and beat me with some combat coldcuts or something for being too pissy.

*raspberries*

So what? This is a "rant section." We're allowed to rant about whatever bothers us on the site, and hopefully others (such as all of you - thanks you guys!) will see this and do something about it.

But I agree with you, silver_balto: The silly ""so-and-so" vs. "such-and-such" - who would win?" topics have got to go. As does the blooper ones, the "if you were *insert character here*, what would you do?" topics(Dude, that's what fanfics are for, bud-dy.), and the other pointless stuff.

I mean, it's okay for just one topic about it, but not hundreds! (or many articles, questions, and other whatnot)

[EDIT] - And here's another thing that really drives me nuts (thank goodness it's calmed now a lot nowadays):

Rabid, Obsessive Fan-Shippers.

Now if you don't know what a "shipper" is, it's like this: If you like the idea of Balto and Jenna together, than you are a Balto/Jenna shipper. If you like *shudder* Steele/Jenna, than the title of a Steele/Jenna shipper.

Of course, I think you know where this is headed. The whole "OMG Kodi and Kirby 4-EVA!" thing . . . O___O; wtf. No, these aren't the tame fans. No . . . these are the obsessed fans - the ones that think the idea of Kodi/Kirby is the best thing since the spork . . . and try to make everyone see that they are the only right pairing.

*GROWL*

For the love of Jeebus, just stop it. Stop making me choke on the fact that you like the idea of one of Balto's sons having sexual relations with a sled-mate of the same gender, and get a life. Really. (I mean, why not Kodi/Ralph instead? We don't know whether Ralph and Dusty really are "official" but it could happen that the big lug could become attracted to our "multi-sexual" quarter-wolf friend.)

Honestly, I have no problem with the idea of same-sex relationships in fics (duh, they're not real . . . it's a work of fiction!), but the addition of that type of situation adds a sense of human emotion to the characters, which I really admire. But the fan-shippers have helped destroy this passionate fantasy love that these two dogs share for each other in the different fics that are written about them.

So to the fan-shippers out there: Please. Cut. It. OUT.

Thanks.

That's exactly what I meant in my last major post, (just not in as much detail). The fact that someone actually is willing to write a story about Kodi and Ralph getting it on (lol, I always chuckle at that phase), they are sick beyond belief.

If any fan-shippers read this post, I wish to just mention that you are a sick individual and you should keep those perverted thought of yours in the privacy of your own home; not posting it on a public forum for all to see.

Thanks, Silver!

Anyway, I still see nothing wrong with gay relationships with canines, just like I see nothing wrong with human gay relationships. Shoot, some scientific people are saying that in the animal kingdom, there are some homosexual relationships that can take place . . . I don't know if they've said anything about the canine kingdom, but meh.

And another thing, if you're into the "graphic gay relationships", fine. Post on your own personal site, or one of those naughty adult fic sites (which I have been on one of them with some crappy "adult" fics about Balto (like Balto/Jenna and *shudder* Balto/Aleu. Ew.), so anything would be better than those), but just keep them away from those little kiddies that could read them.

And really, I'd love to see someone write a Kodi/Ralph fic. That would be considered a challenge. No graphic sex, plz.

And I've noticed something . . . everyone's been writing male-male fics. What about the two females? (Yes, I know Cat's written one . . . and it was very good . . . off-character IMO, but still good) I suppose I know why not many people write those: Not enough love? (or not much to do, I suppose)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well I think its cause, every time someone finds a blooper, they think they have to tell everyone that they found a blooper. Then that makes them post on the fourms or on the site.
I think articals that are about bloopers should not be accepted as an artical.

You can't say anything about gay relationships between canines, Juuchan, when you have Dingo and Saba have pups together!

I'm not telling you off but I find it amusing when a person is having a hangover on fictional gay canine relationships when they have a brother and sister falling in love AND having pups together!

Hmm . . . what?

Well, Dingo and Saba's relationship isn't "gay", it's called incest. (Well, you could call it "gay" . . . gay as in "happy", but they aren't the same-sex. Then it would be gay and incest, which in the end, would be weird nonetheless.)

So, it's two different things, Zorro:

Incest: Two close relatives (either a parent/child or two siblings most commonly, sometimes close cousins (first cousins) are used, but it's not too common) fall in love and become intimate with one another; could result with children (it is rumored that offspring born from incest could possibly have disabilities, missing limbs or other body parts, and sometimes they don't live long after birth)

Gay: Two people (or animals in this case) of the same gender fall in love and (?) become intimate with one another (Hmm, it would be hard for them to have kids)

So yeah. I suppose they both fall under the category of "weird relationships" and many people consider these to be sins (if you're a religious person, but I won't dive into that); but you got to admit it, it makes a different story.
